I have been a loyal customer for many many years. Yesterday I bought some russian cottage cheese. Came home, tried it and it was rotten. I looked at the expiration date and realized that the product was expired. Today I came to the store and asked them to exchange it for the fresh item. I was told that since I do not have a receipt and all the rest of the bags in the refrigerator were good for a month and as such they will neither refund me or replace the item. Now, for a $5.00 item, they have lost a very good customer as I shopped in that store exclusively for my russian food and most of my produce and now I will never go to the store again. I am also very active in a russian community and word to mouth really hurts businesses. This was the worst customer service ever and I would not recommend anybody shopping at that store.

Oakmonts the Costco of grocery stores, though I think there are only two stores. Safeway and the lot try to sell the idea that produce and fresh food are a status symbol for the well-to-do or pretentious. The folks at Oakmont Produce, fight the other side of that battle, and do not beat around the bushel. They are such a small place that the operators (owners?) remember faces very well. The owners daughter works there pretty regularly, and usually has a smile for us.

I really like this place!! The prices for fresh fruits and veggies are much cheaper then at regular grocery stores, i.e. $1.29 for box of raspberries, $.69/lbs for cherry tomatoes, $1.99/lbs for cherries, etc. They also carry Russian and other international foods. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to all my friends and neighbors.

OMG - I love this place!!!! Great prices on milk, veggies, fruits, and a variety of all other exotic foods. Veggies and Fruit are always super fresh and last longer/taste better than any grocery store. LOVE IT!!! Check it out! ...or dont, leave it for me!!!!! =) And YES workers are all super nice!!!! =)

Best produce prices around and the tomatoes are actually ripe. Great prices on dried spices and olive oil and they have a great selection of ethnic foods far beyond the local supermarket chains. Shop here regularly and it ROCKS!

I am regular costumer. I like going there. But today 08/18 I bought cheese in the meat section. It smells so bad that i can not imagine. May be it is cut with knife used for cutting meat .
