TL;DR version of review: bring one quarter for your cart. Bring your own bags. Save tons of money on staple food items made by ALDIs in-house brands (Millville, Family Farms, etc), which is most of their product. Store is clean but doesnt play background music. Good experience. I used to live in Kansas and would go to ALDI there. Glad to see they made it to the west coast. Ive been eating their food since I was a kid. ALDI is a weird experience if you are unfamiliar with it. They cut all corners they possibly can to save you, the customer, money. They have you use a quarter to put in the cart (you get it back when you return it) so that way they dont have to pay someone to return carts from the parking lot (keeps their employees working in the store). They dont have employees walking the aisles asking anyone if they need help. They dont have normal shelves, just boxes on boxes of product that are restocked. There is no deli or butcher (but they do have packaged meat - and theyre decent). They DONT BAG YOUR GROCERIES (gasp

Aldi originated from Germany and functions according to its European model. Deposit a quarter to use a cart then return the cart when you are done to get your quarter back. You can spend all the time you want in the store but checkout is fast and efficient. Be prepared so you dont hold up the line behind you. Bring your own bags, or buy bags there, or see if they have extra packaging boxes to carry your groceries. Since there are no baggers or employers to collect shopping carts, the company can keep their prices low. You can find meats, produce, dairy, household and gardening supplies, as well as a selection of wine. They even have fresh flowers. However, they dont have a pharmacy so dont expect to find aspirin.

The store manager and the cashier were extremely rude, impolite and ignorant. They told me that the store policy is to throw the products in the cart and they are not paid to take care of customer satisfaction. Doesnt matter that you bought strawberries and they just tossed some avocados and canned beens on top of them and now all the products are smashed. So, forget the German quality that they claim. Thats why Amazon is the new everything store. They are obsessed with customer satisfaction. I dont regret when these kind of stores like Aldi disappear every day. They still dont understand the client and the market.

Really surprised by how nice this store looks. The last Aldis Ive been to was in Missouri and it looked like Aldis used to look, like a bargain store with little money for fancy shelves and product placement. But, this store looked like a Trader Joes. My favorite item at the moment is the Choceur dark chocolate bar. The only downside of my experience was noticing that the prices have been raised. I shop at Grocery Outlet and so I expected the prices to be similar. They werent. Grocery Outlet is much less expensive.

The best grocer in Los Angeles.... If you want to truly get your moneys value for top knot have produce and food, Aldi is your store. Other stores amenities drive up their prices but not Aldi. Bag your own groceries and use a cart key (quarter also works) to use the shopping cart and youll see your money go a lot further. Some complain about organic quality. The organic produce here is just as edible, tasty, and healthy as Whole Foods or the Albertsons conglomerations outlets.

Worse experience ever. Cashier named yajaira was a complete moron. Who just threw all my stuff in the cart. Rushing me. Then started ringing up stuff from the guy behind me. And yelled at me that she isnt rushing me. If she wasnt, then she wouldnt have rang up someone elses sh** and started throwing it in my cart. I was like....wth. Even the guy behind me was shaking his head at her. Cause she was so rude. Never going here again. Wish they let me score a zero!!!!

Very clean store, Aldi is my new favorite grocery store. Most of their items are their own and organic too. The prices are kept low and you can see why once you enter the store. You need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart and you have to bag your items yourself after checkout. Sometimes the cashier will gently place your items in the cart, other times they are rushing and just drop them into the cart without care.

This is smaller than your traditional grocery store. They carry mostly off brands, and only sell what they have surplus of. However, of the things they do sell, they seem to be of good quality. The prices are competitive in comparion to other major chains. You need to bring a quarter to release a shopping cart. You will get it back when you return your cart.

I know ALDI from Germany. And I am so excited that they are coming here. ALDI is all it says it to be. I will shop only at ALDI because the excellent top of the line , yet fresh products, plus all of the money I will be saving. Just can,t say enough. So everyone try it, you will not be disappointed.

New store. Name brand and off brand selection. Have to be willing to compromise, but if you can then its a great alternative to other stores. We dont really save money coming here. I think because we end of buying lots of things we dont need because theyre so cheap.

Decent quality private label foodstuffs and above all cheap as heck. The only problem is that the selection isnt great and I can only rarely do all my shopping there. But for stuff like milk, eggs and other staples, Aldi is unbeatable.

Fantastic selection, smooth and easy access to everything my family needed. Huge parking lot. Very rarely crowded inside or outside. Staff are not being pressured by management to push credit products on customers like larger stores.

The store is well organized. The good is cheap and looks fresh. Although the store may look very small. The prices are very low and you get the best discounts. The employees are always smiling. Im definitely coming again. ;)

Make sure you take a quarter. $.25 for the cart. You get your cart back when you return cart back to front of store. An amazing assortment of food from Europe. Great meat, produce and egg prices. You bag your own food.

There isnt a whole heck of a lot of selection here, so we usually just go for the basics: milk, creamer, cheese, meats, etc. Their prices are bar none and its usuall a very quick in and out, unlike most grocery stores.

Coconut oil for $3.99? Yes please. I love the fruit and veggie selection, it always looks clean and put together. The Aldis Finds aisle is my favorite. I bought a lot of Christmas presents from there.
