I gave two stars as an average - their outdoor plants are nice enough and the have a decent selection of a multitude of products but Im writing this review as a caution. This particular store engages in very questionable business practices, so consumer, please beware. The manager actively attempts to (and often succeeds at) selling returned or used appliances as new. My father & I wanted to buy a portable air conditioning unit - all of the boxes of the units they had in stock looked beat up so we asked if they just came off the truck looking rough or were they used. They said no, theyre new and they had just tapped the boxes up because they were beat up, and further, if they were used, theyd be marked as such. Well, when we got it home, it 100% had been used: the packaging was missing (like the sealed screw bag, styrofoam, etc) and pieces had clearly been assembled and then taken apart (see posted photos). We immediately go back to HD and the manager had no desire to make it right. My dad opened all the boxes of units still in stock and they had ALL been used. None were marked as returns or used products. The manager didnt care and said the only ones in stock near by were in Oakland and good luck to us. Unbelievable. We went to Lowes across the street, got a better unit for less money and it was actually new! TL;DR: shady business practices, go to Lowes or local nurseries

We moved to DB and used HD as a major supplier for our home renovation. Our Kitchen renovation went completely south. Ordered American Woodmark Cabinets and the design was wrong. They said we signed off on the design and now it became all our fault. We had to reorder the sink cabinet. The quality of the cabinets was very poor and the paint job on the insides of the cabinet doors you could see raw wood in some areas. I would not use their kitchen design service or buy their special order lines. They said it was their standard quality. Standard for this box store only. Management in the store was not helpful in trying to resolve our problem. We also had several issues with the dishwasher, range hood and microwave. This past 2-3 month experience with HD Brentwood has made me change stores and I now do all my shopping at Lowes. The people at this HD are more interested in making money than taking care of the customer. HD is also not matching the 5% discount if you ask for the Lowes charge card discount match. HD is all about the money. I will no longer shop at the HD Brentwood. Used to like shopping at HD until I ran into this store.

My wife and I were at this store on 3-13-13 looking for a whole house fan and I had to hunt for an employee to ask if they carried them. After explaining to the employee what a whole house fan was he sent me in the right direction. After looking at the fans we went to the garden center and seen an elderly women loading a flatbed cart with concrete blocks, she had four loaded up when me and my wife passed her. I asked her in she wanted help and she replied only if you work here, I told her no I dont but I will help you. I asked her how many she wanted and she told me 20, as I was loading the rest of them for her I noticed an employee 25ft away cleaning up. I am really not happy with Home Depots customer service and they have lost my business over this incident.

I brought some wood.And wanted to get cut in to half.Two employees were standing by cutting machine. As they were talking I waited for 7 minutes. Then I ask them If they can help me to cut these Woodson to 2 pieces. There answer was as this is thin wood You can cut yourself.Same pieces I brought about 18 yesterday and guy help me to cut them. Came to counter after paying spoke to Manager Steve seems like He saw my clothes and thought Im just small labor did not bother. No Sir Im not .Dont judge people by Thier clothes. Well no problem Im a contractor and going to send text to atleast 470 people and tell them do not enter in Home Depot Brantwood,. California branch.

They NEED friendly people working there with people skills, good CUSTOM SERVICE to the point that I and other customers didid waste 40 mins max standing, looking around for help that never came...and .I have TO BEG FOR HELP I would rate them with 5 STARS but they have .POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATES NOT FRIENDLY...Hispanic older man with glasses on early am shift pushing carts outside NEVER HELP WOMEN NOR ANYONE ELSE LOAD VEHUCKE...HE US HIRRIBKE

I will tell you that the Solar company Sales Reps on the floor are more like harassment vultures. Im tired of being asked about my power bills 50 times a year. I dont know what Home Depot takes from their bottom line, but Im spending my money at LOWES just to get away from them. Bad call Home Depot

I love this place, because everything you need is available .Many shopping centers that has any store you like it , beautiful parks, any type of cars dealership, schools and challenges, restaurants and huge choice of different and delicious foot. Movie theaters and very nice people.

Most days Ill give them 4 stars, typically its easy to find an associate to help with questions. Also load out assistance has been available much quicker in recent months. Thats how home depot beats out Lowes.

Out of several times Ive been there, the customer service is nearly non existent and when you do get someone they may have no idea what theyre talking about. Went on a wild goose chase them left empty handed.
