RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! The WORST customer service EVER! Honestly makes me want to vomit. I took a very special estate pendant to this place for a very easy repair (removing a brooch backing and a solder repair). They assured me it would be fine and theyd make sure everything was ok including that the diamonds were tight and secure. When I picked it up today I noticed a bunch of yellow glue behind the diamonds that wasnt there before. The manager said it must of been there before and that when they heated it, it shows up. Then when I touched it, a diamond popped out right in front of her. Shes like oh youll need it re-tipped and another repair done on top of the cost already paid for today. Then she tells me they can reset the diamond but theres no guarantee!!!! What???? Are you serious?! Never in years has a stone fallen out on this piece before like that! She also tells me they never use glue so it wasnt them but then later tells me they can put the diamond back in and glue it! Lies! Then she tells me that theyll look at it next week because they have other more important jobs this weekend. Ive already left my piece there all week. The solder job is awful too! Looks not polished and the gold is lumpy. A mall jeweler could of done better! She told me her jeweler is a master jeweler but obviously he missed the big chunks of yellow glue that either they put there themselves or if it was pre-existing they never bothered to check if the diamonds were ok. Oh yeah and they "text" you when the job is done. Real professional!!! Calling your customers is way more classy. Then she tells me to leave and take it somewhere else. Never once assuring me that theyll fix my pendant or make it right. When I asked for her name (which I now know is Gina,frizzy brown hair and glasses, after reading all the other negative reviews) she refused to give me her name!!! She even asked if "I really was going to play that game." What are you hiding? Afraid youll get called out for your terrible and RUDE service?!!! They then hastily reset the loose diamond and charged me! Honestly I took it home and tested all the diamonds! Thats how much I dont trust this company! DO NOT go here!! Learn from me and others who have posted on Yelp! I wish I would of never trusted them with anything of mine! Never again!!! Horrible customer service and the worst quality of work Ive ever seen.

Gina, a GIA certified specialist with 30+ years of experience, can offer appraisals in addition to providing repairs, cleaning, polishing of watches and jewelry onsite. I cant say enough good things about Brian aka Designer, His work is top notch. Hes an honest and genuine guy who will give you an excellent buying experience. He custom design me a necklace which three other jewelers were unable to do. I highly recommend anyone looking for a unique custom design to go to South Bay Jewelry. South Bay Jewelry has consistently been outstanding in their level of service and quality of work. I recently purchased a cocktail ring for my wife from South Bay Jewelry. It contained diamonds all the way around the band, however was the wrong size. South Bay was more than happy to resize the ring and re-secure all of the stones. I have had numerous jewelry repairs done with this jeweler, as well as a few custom design jobs. Each and every time I am treated like family. They are diligent, care deeply about their clients, and uphold a superb level of craftsmanship. I absolutely recommend them for any repairs and especially new purchases/cust. design jobs! From the moment I walked in, I was instantly treated like family. Brian listened to my ideas, walked me through designs, offered great insight and helped me create the perfect engagement ring. At first, I was intimidated by all of the options and nuances that go into creating a ring. However, the knowledge, experience & professionalism Brian displayed were outstanding!! Throughout my multi-visit journey, he was patient, showed me several styles of diamonds, allowing me to handle the stones, giving me a loupe magnifier to inspect each stone and educated me through it all (cut/color/clarity/carat weight). This place totally ripped me off. I went into have my ring repaired I was charged,$$$500.00i thought it was hi but I went ahead. I took the ring to 2 out her places after the South Bay Jewelers repaired it and was told I got ripped off. That this should of at the higher end only cost me $250.00 and they would have done a better job. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!

Its a nice family owned business with a professional crew, they do have a master jeweler on site who is highly skilled and gets repairs, watches and custom designs done within premises, so if you dont want your expensive jewelry to get lost in shipping transactions I highly recommend this place.
