Alright, first off, this is a meat shop that clearly grew into being a good deli, and as such, the place is small and offers no indoor seating. Because the shop is so small there is a strict no cell phone rule. People are trying to figure out what to eat, no one cares about your kids digestive problems, your abusive boss, or your lousy accountant. Break the no cell phone rule at your own peril. The sandwich menu is huge, and can take several minutes to digest. They will generally move you towards the middle of the store if you cant make up your mind, as the line moves around the outside perimeter, and its important to keep it moving as around lunch time the line can get looong. There are only a handful of employees, and everything is cooked/sliced as you order it. The sandwiches and meat are both excellent, the decor is appropriate and humorous, and the staff is friendly and will learn your name if you become a regular. The best sandwich is The Richard, followed closely by The Bunyan, The Tubby, and any kind of Sausage Sandwich. Also, the Beer Sticks make this place famous, but if they have Landjaeger under the counter, youd better get 10 or more!

Fresh meat smoked in house with high quality hard wood. huge selection of sausages and brauts that are so good they made me cry. I recomend the sicilians. Not to mention hard to find like game bird, panchetta, and proscuitto. They have all the sides made up fresh(beans,slaw, tater salad, and more), and a varite of natual sauces and sodas. Also, their lunch sandwich menu is impressive. not sure but guessing there is over 50 sammies to choose from and are ussually cheaper than subway. They have a daily lunch special for $4.19 that includes chips and a soft drink. A sreal right? I ordered a t-bone there once and they brought me out a steak that looked worthy of fred flinstone. no joke. So do your part and support your locally owned and operated meat shop.

I to was a fan until they gave me back my deer meat with hair and hide on it. This was on fresh cuts they made not just on the outside and not just a couple pieces of hair about 10-15 and one package had hide. They claimed it was my responsibility, I must have brought it in dirty, and the $70 I paid does not cover them cleaning my meat. The process of butcher involves cleaning why would anyone want dirty packaged meat back. If my cut pieces of meat have hair on them what is in my hamburger. My meat is unedible and ruined. The owner did not care. They have no pride in their process of butchering. Just think what is in the sausage they do make and the meat they sell. I would not trust anything that came from this company again. DO NOT TRUST!!!!!

Another great find in Tucson. Not fancy at all. Order a sandwich, buy a drink, and sit at a picnic table outside in this mostly empty strip mall. But, oh those sandwiches. The meats are outstanding; the cheeses excellent, and the add-ons like onions, peppers, and especially pickles are simply perfect. With reasonable prices and pleasant staff, this is a great place to pick up a terrific lunch. When ready to leave, take some sausages and other meats home to enjoy more great flavor.

Ive been a customer for about a year and a half now. Ive never been disappointed. Their sandwiches are always delicious and are a much better value than a place like Subway because you actually get high-quality meats and cheeses for less than what youd pay for most Subway footlongs. My only complaint (minor) is with their hours of business - they dont stay open late and they arent open at all on Sundays.

Positive first; was NOT treated rudely by any staff. Negative, Ive had a lot of sausage and have made my own. Ordered 1 lb of mild Italian and 1 lb Spicy Sicilian. Took it out of the package next day to cook, looked good but smelled odd, like old meat might smell. Cooked a sample of each, absolutely no flavor out of either one, no discernible seasoning either. Threw it all away. Will NOT go again.

I have bought sandwiches from here often in the last three years. They are absolutely the best, and the staff are always very kind to me. They answer my questions no matter how clueless I am and they know me by name and greet my with a smile anytime I come in. Depending on the day, they even know my order before I say it. The Sausage shop is the best deli / meat market in the whole world. The people that run the show and keep it going are Fantastic I RATE This place a 5 star My husband I drive all the way from Apache Junction just to get some their bacon, pork roast, and of course we have a sandwich whiled we are there and give the proprietor a hard time.

Delicious! We have been buying sandwiches there every Saturday for years and have never been disappointed. We also buy meats for special occasions, like Italian roasts and steaks. If you have only bought your meats from a grocery store you should try out the Shop ..its a whole different/better USDA grade than what you have experienced.

A buddy of mine told me about this place and I love it! Great Brats, Bacon, Sandwiches and they cut meat any way you want it. They also have a good selection of Ginger ale, sodas and condiments, cheeses. The Guido is my favorite sandwich. Go on Mondays, it is the special ($5.00).

All I can saw is WOW!!!! These guys have the best meats and cheese and make the best sandwiches at an amazing price. If you are in the area or just want an amazing sandwich or some great meat to cook stop in and you will be in heaven.

Great place to get your meats and sausages!!! Try the Delta Dogs! It is a Louisiana Hot link wrapped in Cajun Bacon. They also make here own Deli Meats like Roast Beef and Pastrami , They are Excellent!!!!!! 5 Stars

I love the meat counter, they have a great daily special sandwich, and they have unique things I cant find elsewhere like Cleveland Indians Ballpark Mustard! And you smell like meat when you leave...

Amazing, fresh, delicious, affordable. Only wish they had brewed tea and seating, but thats just being picky. I really want to get some butchered meats from them sometime, they looked really good.
