My mom just bought some meat from a guy on a truck from this company. She made the purchase based on the salesman convincing her that she was buying at a savings vs meat from the grocery store. Once I calculated the price per pound of the may it turned out to be almost three times the price I could buy the same meat for at the grocery store, even with the "free" case of chicken included. I also did some research and found that the meat supplier "American Gold Label" has nothing but terrible reviews, ranging from low quality, to disgusting, to inedible, to a worrying number of people saying they got sick. The advertising on the flyer is also incorrect and misleading. It claims the meat has less fat and is of superior quality than grocery store meats. The hamburger patties included in the case are almost entirely fat. 410 out of 500 calories per serving are from fat. I called the salesman and as soon as I mentioned wanting to return the meat he immediately got very defensive and began talking over me. He went on and on about how he feeds his own family his meat and how Internet reviews are all BS. When I told him the main issue was the extremely high price, he offered to bring us more meat. When I told him we didnt have room in our freezer for more meat he became angry, telling me what a huge pain in the ass I was being, and that he already spent my moms money to buy more meat. That was obviously a lie as my mom paid with a credit card less than 30 minutes prior and there was no way any funds had transferred in that short time, nor do I believe he purchases his product on a case by case basis throughout his work day. I had to get just as rude with him in order for him to listen to what I was saying. By the end of the call he yelled into the phone "Ill deal with this tomorrow!" and hung up on me. At this point I dont even care if the meat is good quality or if the price was reasonable. With customer service like that I cant recommend this company to anybody. Avoid at all costs. As a matter of fact, judging by the research Ive done over the last hour or so, I would avoid buying meat off a truck all together, except for maybe Schwans, all the rest seem to be either scams or super poor quality.

I wish there was a way to give no stars. We spent over 200 dollars on the steak package. The meat is absolutely disgusting. Greasey and gross!. And some of it even looks rotten. Steaks shouldnt be brown and purple. And the 100% the guarantee is a joke. I called to complain and i wanted my money back because my husband and i both got sick. And he offered to replace it with some other meat. Um no. Your meat is disgusting. Waste of 200 bucks. the salesmen was very rude and pushy. Save your self the money and go to a real butcher with edible meat

After the salesman left, we discovered that the salesman had put hamburger in our freezer instead of rib eye steak. He would not leave the empty boxes for me to recycle, stating the company recycles them. He also took the brochure with the name and prices on it, saying he had to use it over. The credit card slip had no details of the merchant or product sold, just the price. The message on the phone number that the credit card company gave me, states: "This mailbox has not yet been set up by this subscriber!" Nancy in Gilbert

Today while I ( a single mother) was at home from work with a sick child my doorbell rang. Having recently moved to the area to escape a stalker (court order of protection in place) it was alarming. The salesman was physically upset that I would not open my door to him. I told him through my window that I am not interested. Having video surveillance in place, well, it is documented! I do not open my door to people I do not know.... PERIOD!!!!!!!! San Tan Mother

We just purchased some this week and they discounted the package for us. Tried the KC Steaks last night and they were unbelievable. I was at first not happy that my wife had purchased this from a door to door salesman, but after tasting it, and the discount they gave, this was a great deal.
