I will never, ever, ever, ever purchase anything from this shoppe again - not even seasonings. Two years ago, for Christmas dinner, my brother and I purchased a vacuum sealed prime rib roast. We brought it home and unpacked it 2 days later and it was RANCID! Ever try replacing a premium roast on Christmas day? Nothing was open. When the shoppe re-opened after the holiday, the butcher said it was "grassy". I got brave and tried them again this year, when I processed my own wild game. I purchased six pounds of port suet, took it home and processed all my grinds which totaled 40 +/- 1lb packages and now they are ALL ruined. The freaking pork suet was BAD. Everything tastes and smells freezer burnt, even the grinds that didnt get frozen. Im 100 Million percent disappointed and upset over it. The only 2 experiences Ive had with this place were both catastrophic.

I have been a long time customer for more than a decade. On my recent visit June 14th I didnt love any of the NY strips out in the case so I asked if they had any others in back. Charlie cut me two fresh ones that were absolutely amazing. Fresh MT beef. Grilled up great. Ive noticed a new more friendly, positive vibe since new ownership. Subtle but appreciated!

Really nice and helpful people! Pointed out some jerku samples after we bought the buffalo steaks we came in for. Going home with Cajun jerky, Smoked andouille sausage and smoked porkchop. We will come back in again!

EMPIRE BUILDING

We recently had a contractor BBQ and needed about 700 3-1 hamburger patties done, we called Charlie and they were ready that day, fresh, and some of the best burgers i have ever had, thank you Charlie.

The Meat Shoppe gets 4 out of 5 stars because their selection and quality of meats (and associated sundries) is superb. They miss that 5th star because theyre not open on Sundays though.
