Have been looking for a local game store, sick of Gamestop being the only option. This place is great, they have everything that the big chains have and more. All new releases(all systems), used games, accessories, consoles, and even some collectible stuff. They also have large selection of NES, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, PS1 and PS2. The really cool part is this stuff is actually organized! At Gamestop they still sell(not buy) some PS2/xbox games, but they are just thrown in bins. Everything at Game Trader is alphabetized and neatly organized on shelves. Friendly and helpful staff- even after they started getting busy with a bunch of annoying kids. Could have been a little more knowledgeable, but they were much more so than at competitors. I guess they cant have played every title in store! Their is really no advantage to Gamestop as GT offers 7 day no question returns on all used games, and the trade credit they offer on games and systems is at least the same if not slightly higher than gamestop. Check it out, help keep cool local business alive in Tucson!

This is my very 1st website review for any company. I had my Xbox One shipped by a friend and he forgot my power cord....this was a pain to replace! Walmart did not have one and when I went to GameStop the lady at the store told me the power supply was $70.00. I just needed the cord and not the main power hub...she didnt bother to dig in further or seek out any other creative solutions. Then I stumbled upon Game Trader via online. I called their number and spoke to Nick. After explaining my situation to him, he recommended I stopped by with my Xbox and see if one of his universal cords worked. Well, it did! Regardless of whether it worked or not, the fact that he sought out this creative solution was good enough! He didnt just tell me he didnt have the cord and goodluck. He went above and beyond to make appropriate recommendations for my unique situation which ended up with a successful resolution. Thank you again Nick! You are awesome man!!

The customer service is excellent. Most of the staff members have top-notch knowledge. At times, if they dont know an answer, they will ask a colleague or even call one of the owners, Dave, on the spot if they dont know the answer. Only one guy is pretty shy, doesnt say much, I think he is a new face so maybe new. Now that my son is older and talks to staff himself, Id say they show him respect and are kind. If you have serious questions about consoles and the industry, talk to Dave. Angel, the other owner, has done some magic with repairs of consoles and accessories. If someone else says they cant fix it, make sure to check with Angel before giving up. Finally, selection is great. Rarely do they not have a game, accessory, or console we want. And it is such a pleasure to have a place on the west side of Tucson! But if you dont live here, it is worth the drive!

These are the go-to guys for those of us who just cant stomach GameStop any longer. The employees are very knowledgable about video games and can be trusted to help you find what youre looking for, without any dramatic attempt to add a ton of items or presale offers to your transaction. I highly recommend this place for the independent gamer who appreciates good service. Game Trader is run by gamers, for gamers, and it shows. *****

One of the last local game stores in Tucson, Gametrader is a home away from home. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is enough to make you WANT to buy something and, believe it or not, everyone that works there is a gamer, so they know what theyre talking about. The only people I could ever see complaining about this place are impoverished slopes who dont have an income and expect their games to be paid for in nickles and dimes.

Great local game store. Employees are friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Its always a pleasure to look around and enjoy the game-related banter. The selection is top notch, as are the buying prices and selling prices for used merchandise. Gamestop will buy a new release game back for $21 and resell it for $54.99 (62% Markup). These guys pay more and charge less which is why they get my business.

Came here to get my PS3 fixed. You have to pay $12.50 for dismantling fee but it goes towards the repair. However, it turned out that they couldnt fix it and offered me a full refund. While it sucked that they couldnt fix it, I appreciated their friendliness and their professionalism throughout the process.

This place is really cool. Amazing staff. They most likely have the game youre looking for. Only problem is that some games (compared to GameStop) are very expensive. But on the bright side, some games (compared to GameStop.) Are very cheap! So.. Yeah... BTW, Your really cool Dave!

Gametrader is a great local video game store. The staff know what theyre doing, and they always have all the latest games. I would really recommend this place over other game stores.

Great games and good prices but wish they had more Xbox one games but the workers were really nice and helpfull. I wish they had a rewards program and had coupons
