The Store on Ina and Thornydale is the worst place ever. I picked up a nail that while the tire wasnt leaking, I felt needed to get taken care of. At the time I brought my truck in, they were busy. as there was a line. The line seemed to be moving quickly, until they got to me. I waited patiently for 17 minutes, although there were a number of people who said "Ill be right with you." So that was fine. I was promised a time of 90 minutes, which I agreed to, and went and had lunch. I went back and met with Stacy, whose card said "Senior Assistant Manager" (everyone there seems to be an assistant manager of some sort), and he had told me that the tire that I had was irreparable, as the hole that the nail made was fine, but that there was a screw that went "at a weird angle and couldnt be repaired." He showed me the tire, and while the nail hole was big, I didnt think the screw hole was that big of a deal. He then told me that he >couldnt< let me go with this tire on, and that I would have to get a new one. Fine... so we get up to the counter, and Stacy tells me that they didnt have the tire in stock, and that he would have to order it. He told me that it would be there the next day, and not sooner. By now, I was feeling screwed, because not only would I have to buy a new tire that I felt pressured into, but I had to come back to have it installed. I let them take the wheel, as Stacy said "Be here at 1:00, and I will have the tire on the wheel, and we can just pop it right on. I returned at 1:06 the next day, and after a short wait, Stacy said "Oh yeah, let me see where that tire is..." After calling the warehouse, it appears that the driver with the tire had not even left to make the delivery to the store. Stacy asked me to wait for an hour, and that for sure it would be on the tire by then. I told him Id give him 90 minutes, and he said perfect 90 minutes later, I returned. Stacy saw me, then immediately got on the phone to see where the driver was. He then told me that it should be about 5-10 minutes before it would be there. I waited in the lobby another 65 minutes, with not a peep from ANYONE about "how are you?" "sorry for the wait", etc. I saw customers come in, get serviced, and get out in the time I was waiting. Lets add this up....thats 155 minutes, over TWO AND A HALF HOURS since the car was promised to me. Stacy then, while on the phone, waved me over. I waited for him to get off the phone, and then he tried to sell me an extended warranty. I grabbed my keys and walked out before anything else screwy would happen. I then come to find out that the price for the tire that I was FORCED to buy was at least $20.00 more than any other tire store in town. In Summary: - Will make you wait LONG AFTER they promise the car - Will force you to buy a tire if they discover a non-threatening road hazard. - Will charge you more than anywhere else in town for the privilege. Stay away from Discount Tire -- and especially from the Ina/Thornydale store.

This store is a black eye on the overall well-run Discount Tire chain. They are rude, inefficient, and worst of all, incompetent. Ive tried this place three times now since its the closest one to my house and have had bad experiences each time. Strike 1: They failed to set the TPMS correctly on my Toyota... twice. I had to go to a different store to get it done. Strike 2: They failed to balance my wheel/tire assembly properly so I had to return and wait 2(!!) hours for them to re-do it. Strike 3: They sold me their "certs" on a set of trailer tires and I had repeated issues with them. After returning 3 times to get them re-balanced they STILL vibrate and they refuse to warranty them. I even showed them a video of an issue with the tire runout and the manager had the gall to tell me that "trailer tires are never round". Seriously dude, tires arent supposed to be round?! He told me this in a rude way like I was an idiot for even questioning his proclamation that tires arent round. I am a professional engineer and have an extensive history in the auto racing industry; I know what a tire is supposed to look like. Treating me like a dumbass put me over the edge so I wrote down the Regional VPs name (Steve Glass for anyone reading) and walked out without another word. He tracked me down in the parking lot with a half-hearted apology but I was already boiling so I didnt really hear what he had to say. Buying certs was a waste of money and Ill be replacing the tires on my own dime someplace else. The biggest mistake I made was giving them multiple chances. This store needs a complete overhaul of employees and especially management.

On our road trip from Texas back home to Sacramento we had a blowout in Tucson (thank God not 50 miles sooner) at 1am. As we waited for shops to open I was checking to see which shop to go to. I was nervous because of the last rating from someone about this shop, but we were already here so I was hoping for the best. If your unfortunate enough to need tires or tire services save yourself some stress and let them help you. Are they cheap tires? Yes its called discount tires you dumbass. You get what you pay for. But if you are a cheapskate like me then this is your shop. They even gave me a military discount and let my dog chill inside the waiting room. These dudes are all right in my book. I forgot your names (one chews in front of customers (but I wouldnt care if he blasted a rail on the desk, just fix my tires)) the other one had to make 2trips in his OWN CAR to get my 265/35/r22s. Thanks guys!

I am shocked by the lack of professionalism at this location. I have never had any problems with the Discount Tire locations on the east side, but this one is really bad. I have purchased many tires from D.T. (not @ this location) and I am familiar with the standard rates for their tires... the technician quoted me a price that was DOUBLE what I would normally pay and he REFUSED to honor the warranty certificates that I paid for. To top it off, he tried to sell me the wrong size tires, claiming that they would be "OK" since they were USED and only temporary. Im not an idiot, so I didnt allow him to replace my warrantied tires with used tires that would most definitely cause problems and arent eligible for warranty replacement. Get real.

So for the second time I am disappointed with this Discount Tire. Last visit I asked to keep all four tires and they only returned two. Telling myself mistakes happen I came back with my brand new 2013 FR-S that has 3000 miles. Raul pushed me to buy a TMPS rebuild on a brand new car claiming that breaking the bead on the tires makes the TMPS leak. When I refused three times he finally removed it then charged me more than the dealer quoted me to do the swap. Even when I asked for the military discount. The employees working on my car were great but this treatment ensured I will never come back.
