For a place that sells childrens books and has a childrens area they dont really care for chdren do they? I was there with my extremely well behaved 2 year old and my 2 week old and I was not only treated as if I was a bother to them they also were extremely rude to me when I tried to check out. I guess I was standing 6 inches from the "proper" line area and I was scolded and then they allowed others to go in front of me mind you I had 2 kids and my hands were full with items. Other customers said I was first but the teller continued to scold me for being 6 inches off the "mark" needless to say I dropped my items took my kids and left. We will never be back which is unfortunate because I found some pretty perfect Christmas gifts there. We cant all be filled with joy during this season I guess. Even if we work in customer service..... Im extremely disappointed in the staff.

I looked up the price of all 12 textbooks I sold, which added up to about $24 (amazon has a good isbn lookup that will show your value). After a 20 minute wait, their offer was $4, with the guy saying they were trading at pennies online. This was a dishonest statement as I already knew the value. However, it was a big job to carry all of the books in there so I just went with the deal. In addition, one of their employees used the restroom and did not flush after being in there a long time. DO NOT GO THERE! Use amazon or an online book trader you will get several times as much money. Plus the music sucks in this place and its loud as hell.

Let me start off with the fact that I love books! And letting go of some of my favorite books that are in high demand on the market was very hard for me I get very sentimentally attached to them. I worked at at a library so I know what books are needed in stores. With the amount of books i brought in and with them all in like new condition i should have received a higher amount then 3.50 considering the fact that they sell books in bad torn up conditions for more the "half price". HPB also has a slim selection as every book i went in there to find they did not have all in all, wont being doing business here again.

The place is a good spot to buy books at ok prices, but a lot of the other things in the store. Like cds , dvds, games, programs , etc. are over price. the other problem is that they majorly underpay for the books and other things they buy from people that bring them in. Over all this place is a sham and a rip off. If you want to buy books there ok, if your in a pinch and need to sell a few of your books for some gas money dont go you will sell your life collection and walk out with $1.50. Worthless

Im giving 5 stars because some of the 1 star reviews are so dumb. Seriously, your outdated college textbooks arent going to sell for much. Theyre a BOOK STORE. They have to sell the books for much more than they buy them. This isnt too hard to understand. If you want more, sell them online yourself and get some 1 star reviews. No, I dont work here. Edit: Apparently I have to actually review the store so my review doesnt get flagged. This is a good store and I like it.

Outstanding! When we lived ther, we use to visit the one in Columbus, OH - but the one in Phoenix blows it away; the selection and variety of goods was amazing. The staff was friendly and very helpful (although, they dont catalog thier inventory). I could easily spend all day there... and a paycheck. Thank goodness were just visiting and had to travel light, or we would have spent all our time and money there.

I was there for about 90 mins waiting for them to look at my books, 4 boxes full, some dvds, ps3 , art books, religious, general, fiction, scholastic and childrens, after 90 mins I was offered, 13$ dollars, no mention of trade nothing, I told them upon arrival this was a small fragment of my library which includes approximately, 4500 comics. Bottom line is, I wont go back for anything there!

The first store Ive been two was the one in Houston. I fell in love with it. Then at least I could bring home DVDs and occasionally CDs. Its like going to Amazon with actually going onto the online shopping website. Everything is cheap. My dad goes there to look for comic books. Kudos

Highly recommended! Always a great experience here! Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff! Very affordable especially if you have any trade ins. Great store hours not as limited as others.This particular location is the best however all locations are still really good.

If you are buying anything from books to movies to comics to records, stop here first or at least call. They have the nicest people i. The world working here, they all seem to like theor job and are ready and willing to help with anything. Love this place.

It was okay. I got only like 2 books I wanted there, and I did the bookworm bucks I read for about 1,000 minutes, it said come back when reach 300 so I did, but the was like you have to compact when you finish the month.

Books galore! Also sell your old books galore! If your trying to make sone extra scratch take a look at your bookshelf and think what books you wont miss? They pay a reasonable amount. GreAt gift ideas too!

My favorite place to get videos and books. Ive been coming here for years and become somewhat of a regular. The prices are very reasonable and theyll give you a decent deal on items you bring to sell.

I come here every few weeks and shop for vinyl always find an amazing selection and always walk out with a stack of lps and 45s. Staff is always friendly. The Camelback store is great too.
