I have never been treated so rudely in a retail location before. I was using coupons and the two cashiers were complaining about me before it was even my turn to check out. There was only one cashier even I got to the counter so apparently the other employee just came up to commensurate with the working cashier. I am pretty meticulous and when I presented the 10 items and 4 manufacturers coupons and 2 of their own of their app, things started to go even more down hill. She sighed and kept saying you cant use this one, but wouldnt provide me a reason why. This was on 2 of the manufacturers and their 2. She kept telling the others in line that she was sorry I was using coupons that they dont take. I asked for a manager and she claimed to be it. I am a veteran with PTSD and I started to have a massive anxiety attack. She just kept tsking, sighing and rolling her eyes at me. I was mortified and was crying by the time I got to my vehicle. I was the minority there and I was traded with such disdain and racism, I could not believe it. I was truly scared when I departed the lot. I knew it would be a waste of my time if I tried to show her the facts as to why the coupons were good and able to be used, her parting words were, "Next time try not coming up in here during the lunch hour so other people wont have to wait while you figure your coupon stuff. I love the Dollar General stores, just not this one. They need to train their employees on the app and make sure the app runs accurately and swiftly. I works recommend DG to others, just not this location.

Theres a lot of riff raff in front of, and in the store. The people that complain about customer service need to have more compassion for this. The staff is cool. We shop there often. They deal with pan handlers, drug addicts, drunks, homeless, unwashed humans, and unsupervised kids...etc. all day long. For minimum wage to boot. This is not Scottsdale, Arcadia, Fountain Hills, or Litchfield. What do you expect? Its Smack dab in the middle of Phoenix in the hood! Im not sure what shopping experience youre anticipating. Right next to bus stops, and light rail stop. Shop somewhere else. Did you not notice the scenery? The staff can only do so much. Shop elsewhere if you must. The staff is very cool, they remember you by name. Your backpack must go in the front because of the riff raff mentioned before. People steal often. You wont get shot or assaulted. Put yourselves in their shoes, and consider what your demeanor would be. It sounds like you shouldnt shop in the hood. The same cast of characters frequent Wal-Mart. Its nothing new. Its also a dollar store! Not Scottsdale Fashion Center. If youre able to buy what you need, and get out of there without drama...I consider that a win. Keep up the good work guys! Dont know how you do it!

Usually starts with stepping over and around trash,debris and overflowing garbage cans to even get in.also need to deal with the bums panhandling both inside and outside.The place is filthy and unorganized. The surface of the parking lot looks cleaner than the surface of the floor in most cases. Staff are lazy and slow. Its not uncommon to stand in line for 15 minutes behind four customers.

Mom and I went there to pick up couple things, OMG the checkout girl mustve been stoned cause she kept tossing her head from side to side then arguing about everything and last she tried to run both of our credit cards as checks, what the hell out took is longer to get through the line than shopping did, not going there again.

Rarely is it ever a dollar and very rood employees! Every night before they close they start yelling over the store intercom at 8:30 the minutes you have to go. You are rushed out every night way before 9 so the employees can get home.

This dollar general is very disgusting and the employees have very ugly attitudes. The white lady with red hair was cussing at me and would not let me get all of my items in one transaction. I will be calling corporate.

Long lines usually and some customersare unruley/rude. There was some drunks in there one time I was there and they were harassing people in the store.

Its dirty, understaffed and oppressive. Lest you forget, there is a very frequent reminder on the p.a.that you are being photographed.
