Whether you are a hardcore gamer or just love the nostalgia of gaming in your childhood, you have GOT to check out this place. It may be small but the owners have it set up perfectly. Only the best titles and selection, great prices, fun atmosphere, and the owners are the friendliest ever. My husband and I have a great time whenever we stop in and it feels good to support a small local business that so clearly pours their heart and soul into what they love. In addition to tons of great video game decorations throughout the business & video game soundtracks playing on the speakers instead of the radio (at least I think I noticed that last time?), they also have a couple TVs set up with different video games and fun challenges that go along with them. For instance, the first time we stopped in they had an old Super Mario Bros water level pulled up and if you could get through the level holding the contoller upside down on your first try you won a drink from the cooler! Another time you could win a drink by landing a helicopter in a game after spinning in circles 10 times. We used to go to Zia for all our used video gaming needs --- but we are total converts to 1UP Games now! Better selection, fair and reasonable prices, and GREAT environment.

The staff here is super friendly. The store is clean and organized. The prices here are fair. They play video games music and they have 2 spots where you could play videos games for free or play chess. I was very happy to find out that they work with other mom and pop stores in the area which in the end helps everyone. I went there just to see what they had and ended up buying Mortal Kombat II for the 32x. They didnt have the link cable I needed for the 32x but they went out of their way to call a store that was not a 1UP store but a different video game store that they network with to help find what I was looking for. Id rather buy locally than to order online as much as I can. Thats what I call customer service and that created a customer for life out of me. Check this store out if your in the neighborhood. One of my favorite places to shop for video games if not my all time favorite. Great stock of new and vintage games and toys. Quality products both loose and boxed, and the customer service is always excellent when I stop in. Whether you are looking to add to your collection and/or preserve it, you will find what you need here and at an affordable price. I never leave empty handed or with a bad shopping experience. Highly recommend this awesome store and its staff.

We called ahead of time to find out what we could get for a handful of games. After being specifically told that they would pay half of the retail value when buying from us, and double-checking the prices on specific games, we drove two hours to sell what we had. Instead of the promised value we were given they went online, checked GameStop and offered us a dollar or two more than them per game, equaling out to only about half of what we were quoted.

Great store, owner provides fantastic personable customer service. Pretty knowledgeable and gave me honest feedback on some of his games. Great selection of NES and SNES with really good prices and even worked with me when I picked up a few items. I even got a few rarer uncommon PSP games. My son loves the Xbox lounge where he sits and plays or watches 80s-90s classic cartoons while I browse and shop. A+ store!

Honestly, I felt like a kid again seeing all these games from my childhood brought back such great memories and not only that but the prices are incredible amd the staff was super nice and layed back. having such cool and retro items and new generation stuff like the Xbox one and ps4. definitley coming back here and recommended anyone to check this place out before gamestip or any other place

The store is great, nice and open with plenty of space to see all of the products. The pricing is very fair, and the people that run the store are awesome. Most importantly, they play video game music (which you figured all game stores would, but sadly dont!) Definitely a must for gamers on the east side.

Nick and his awesome store blew me away it was worth the 34 minute drive and while I was there I picked up 2 great games metroid and castlevania for a really good price we also had a talk and how I should care for my games as well had an awesome experience will for sure keep going there for my games

I would rate this store higher if I could. Excellent selection of retro games, excellent, helpful, and knowledgeable service. Really couldnt recommend this place more, and Ive been to dozens of retro game stores across the country. Definitely check it out. And they even rent games!

I was personally contacted by a representative of the store via e-mail who insulted me, called me a buffoon, and said I lived in my parents basement, all because I was selling a better selection of video games on Craigslist then they carry in their store... And at cheaper prices.

Has games I never thought I would see again, extremely friendly staff and awesome rewards program, I love that they have a section for games without cases, its really helped me in my quest for all of the final fantasys, theyre my new go to store for games

Called ahead and asked if they have the Sega Genesis Model 1 with "High Definition Graphics" in white letters on the top. They said they had it but when I arrived they didnt. Waste of my time.
