This is the review my husband posted on the local website. Being the person in pain, I appreciate what the pharmacist did to help as opposed to the care-less attitude of the pharmacist at the other pharmacy. This pharmacist showed compassion. My wife had an serious out patient surgery yesterday and we came to home to Maricopa with a script to be filled. I went to CVS to fill the pain medication script. They told me to come back in 45 minutes to an hour and they would have it ready. When I returned, they could not find the script or the filled medication and thought I must have made a mistake in knowing where I took it. After I was insistent they looked around and eventually found my unfilled prescription hidden somewhere it didnt belong. The young pharmacist was eventually asked why the prescription was not filled. She said that whoever filled out that prescription had made a mistake in the concentration of one of the ingredients and since it was a narcotic, they would not fill it but that I would have to go back to the hospital to get a correct one. I was frantic. My wife was home several hours after the operation with no pain relief in sight while CVS was telling me to go to the hospital about 40 minutes each way plus the time to find the right person and get a new script. To add to my frustration there was a woman in front of me in line when I went to pick up the filled script, who had a pile of things including 8 cans of tea she wanted the busy pharmacy clerk to check out in addition to several prescriptions she was to pick up all the while talking about how things were going. This was inconsiderate on both the customers and clerks part. I went to Walgreens across the street because I didnt trust the pharmacist at CVS. The pharmacist there acknowledged that there was a problem with the prescription but instead of turning me away after a long delay, they called the hospital to find that the doctor had left the hospital. When I got them the doctors office number they resolved the issue and filled the prescription in about 15 minutes. What a relief. The CVS pharmacist may have tried to contact someone at my home since the neighbor was here but didnt know how to answer the phone, but the communication there was unacceptable and the right thing didnt happen. Walgreens came through for me. I dont think CVS will be my store in the foreseeable future.

Dropped off 2 Perscriptions this morning and confirmed they where workmans comp. Young lady behind the desk acknowledged that and asked if I would be waiting... I explained this takes a couple hours for workmans comp.. She askes If I wanted a text when the Perscriptions are ready. I said sure and she had a text sent to me that I would need to respond with a YES. I got the text and responded with a yes. 30 miutes later I got a text that my Perscriptions are ready. I made my way to pickup my Perscriptions. I was greeted by a different young lady who pull my Perscriptions and then asked for payment 34 dollarsand change. I explained this was workmans comp and shoulded be charged. She said she needed to change the labels and it would be a sec I asked if I should sit down and she said no this will only take a miute. So for fun I started a timer ... She returned 4 minutes 17 seconds later and asked me to take a seat as they would need to call workman comp.. it will only take a couple minutes.. Again started a timer... 11 minutes and 51 seconds she calls me back up to the counter and explains this will take a couple hours. I explained I know and made that clear when I dropped off the Perscription and I would just pay for them as I got a text and came back to pick my Perscriptiona up. The young lady rang up the Perscriptions again and asked for 150 dollars and change... I asked how in 15 minutes the price was now 5 times more than before... She went and asked someone and came back and explained that before the price was with my medical discount And then asked if I wanted her to use my medical ... ( Why wouldnt I want her to use my medical????) So I finally just asked for my Perscriptions back and Walgreens and this young lady seemed shocked I would ask for my Perscriptions back after they failed time after time and then thought to make up for their failure I would pay 5 times the original price. After they gave me back my Perscriptions I pointed out where it shows this was workmans comp and the young lady said "Yeah I Know" So I went to another place and explained this all to them and they said " I know we get alot of business from Walgreens" Maricopa City AZ is to small to opening fail and treat ex-customers this way. Save yourself time and frustration and just go somewhere else.

I ordered a picture from this place last week and they had our heads cut off. I ordered it again tonight online. I ordered it at 8:30pm, I chose the option for fast pickup. I received a confirmation email stating I could pick it up tonight after 9:20pm. I got there around 9:45pm. The photo area looked dark. The girl asked for my name and said it wasnt there. She said she turned the machines off at 9:00 and there were no orders. What is that? Is she accusing me of lying? So I offered to show her my confirmation email which would show the time I ordered and the time I was supposed to be able to pick up. Not only did she not want to see my email, but she told me nothing.... absolutely nothing could be done for me. It was ONE picture and they couldnt do it. She also said she couldnt offer me a discount. She said a manager would just tell me the same thing. Why do they give you a confirmation email, if it is absolutely useless to you? I am getting married in 3 days and this picture was to be for our signature frame. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Thats two failed attempts to get ONE picture out of this place. Same location both times. You would think being the only Walgreens in Maricopa they would try to have better customer service. I think its the opposite for them. They realize theyre the only Walgreens so they dont feel the need to impress anyone or treat their customers right. Total FAIL Walgreens. You guys suck.

Walgreens has officially lost my business! They have repeatedly lost my prescriptions called into their pharmacy. When a person depends on a medication to function, a person needs a dependable pharmacy. To top it off, when I called and pleasantly asked about the status of my prescription, the pharmacist was sarcastic and rude. I was told that computer glitches happen. I understand the occasional mistake but multiple times??? Ridiculous! On a previous occasion, I inquired about a medication at the pharmacy and they just shouted the question aloud to the pharmacist. What the heck happened to a customers privacy? Unprofessional!

Love the deals and loyalty card with walgreens. Employees are nice and greet you when you walk in and the pharmacy staff are super nice and always helpful. The line for the pharmacy can get extremely long (down isle 10) and yet the staff are still upbeat even though the customers can be jerks to them after waiting in the long line. Always a nice place to hit up for a quick shopping trip or when you forget something and dread the lines at Walmart.
