Employees were rude and we bought an Oscar from a tank that had another Oscar in it that was clearly sufforing from rot. We didnt listen to our intuition and bought the other seemingly healthy Oscar. Upon getting the Oscar home we noticed it had a white spot on one of its eyes, and it lays is lying down on the bottom of the tank. I blame ourselves for this as much ad the rude snd incomptetent staff. The lady even took water from another tank when bagging our sick Oscar. This method only introduces a larger chance of disease snd parasite infection. The staff needs an education in manners and knowledge. We usually shop at Petsmart on the other side of the shopping center as their customer service and fish are worlds apart. We will never shop at Petco again and we wonder how they have stayed in business with Petsmart giving competition that are night and day apart. Petcos employees and tank conditions are a joke at best. Dont say you havent been warned if you buy fish from this store knowing that Petsmart is leaps and bounds above this sad store.

I was appalled when I saw the substrate being used in the baby Bearded Dragon enclosure. I brought the dangers of using fine sand in with baby/juvenile Dragons to an associates attention. He informed me that he was unaware of such dangers so I took the time to inform him about such risks involving using sand for wee Dragons. A week later I am in the store again and to my great pleasure I saw that they heeded my warning and changed the substrate to Repti-carpet! Way to go PetCo !!! Now potential buyers of these small Dragons wont have to worry about sand impaction!

Good pet salon. Although I paid more than usual for groom for my small chiweenie. Overall satisfied with everything but his nail job. His nails were long but needed cut and buffed. They were cut but not filed properly therefore ended up scratching me worse than when they were long. Due to the sharpness of the edges. I called and was fit in for next day fix I will leave review on how it went. Friendly service, clean store very accommodating.

They carry SolidGold dog food, which no one else in town does. The staff are nice here and let you interact with their animals. They love seeing you bring in your own pets.

I was looking for Nyjer seed for finches but they had VERY inflated prices. One 10 lb bag was $24 and Petsmart was $8.77.
