This was my favorite store ! I purchased my bike there and every time I walked in I felt like part of the family, that was until I needed their help . My beautiful specialized bike was stolen from the hospital I work at . I called Global asking for the info on my bike so I could turn in an insurance claim. Wow did I ever get the run around . First I was told their computer system had changed over and they didnt have my information. Ok although I have my bike serviced there all the time . So I asked for a quote for a new bike so I could get a replacement which I was planning on buying from them . I was told , "we are too busy today ." Ok so I called back like they said the next week . Then I was told "I dont know how to do a quote for you , call back next weekend when the other guys is working he knows how to do them." I went in there and asked for help all I wanted was to purchase a new bike . I was already devastated that my bike my triathlon bike was gone, while I was in helping children in the hospital someone stole my prize position!! Yes I had it locked up. I was told to call when someone else was there that he wasnt able to do this for me today it takes time and he was busy. I spoke to one of the guys and Im sorry I cant remember which one said what so I wont put there names but one guys said sure no problem Ill get they typed up for you call back next week. Needless to say the quote was never done I kept getting passed around and the excuse was always "I dont know how to give you a quote or I dont have time ." So after a total of 7 weeks of getting nowhere and getting the complete blow off and run around I gave up . I had to research and piece together a internet quote that the insurance company only paid part on because it wasnt an actual quote . I was so disappointed with Global Bikes. UPDATE: After posting this the general manager called me and apologized. It wasnt a "Oh crap you posted something bad" apology , it was a true heart felt Im sorry we let you down so we let ourselves down apology !! Let me tell you how happy this made me , for the last few months Ive tried to go to other bike shops and Ive never ever felt at home like I always hav at Global . Needless to say I went in and finally found a new bike that was perfect for me !! They took care of me from helping find the perfect fit and right bike for me to fitting into my budget. They went above and beyond to make it right again . So happy to have my bike shop back and so blown away with the quick response and the effort put into making this customer feel like part of the family again . Thank you Luis for everything,!!! Your customer service is beyond words for greatness !!!

*****UPDATE***** I just wanted to say the general manager Luis is a standup guy. After reading my review, Luis called me to apologize about the customer service. He was sincere in apologizing and offered to come pick up my bike and have it tuned the same day. Though Id taken it to another bike shop, he called them and took care of it for me. He also mentioned his conversation with his staff member about the customer service and made sure they handled themselves professionally in the future. I appreciated the effort and they won me over again. I have other bikes and they will be handled by Global Bikes. --------------- After researching bike shops and reading reviews, I took my bike in for service last week (Thursday afternoon) to Global Bikes. After looking over my bike, the technician recommended the Pro Tune "Better Tune" service ($89). He said it would be "like new" once he was done (the following Tuesday). Tuesday evening comes, and I go to pick up my bike just after 5 PM (they close at 7). Not only is my bike not ready, but the technician (a different one) has not even started. He comes back and says it will be at least an hour... Maybe I dont understand what "ready Tuesday" means and should have waited another full day. What bothered me was the sarcastic remark I received from the technician when I found out it wasnt ready. I understand youre busy. But if Im going to pay you $90 for a tune up, then make sure its ready on time or call me if its not. Thats why you took my phone number. Im not just sitting around with all the time in the world waiting. The manager then offered a discount if I kept it there, and that would have been fine, but I dont need some jerk employee mouthing off to me because I came back when I was told.

Ive purchased 4 “Specialized” brand bikes for my family from Dave Thomas and team at Global Bikes in Gilbert since 2013 and have always received quality bikes, service & advice. From the very start Dave recommended I go with the higher-end “Specialized” bikes because the quality was worth it in the long run and boy was he right. When I outgrew my “Hardrock” mountain-bike after 6K miles I eyed the new 2016 Crave Expert 29 and Dave Thomas worked hard to get one of the first two (at the time) arriving via Ocean Shipment to the USA to me in only a few weeks. After 200 miles on my new Crave mountain -bike it developed a clipping issue with the cassette tallest gear due to the stress of my 250lb weight. Dustin Reed the service manager personally worked with Specialized to upgrade me to a stronger cassette including a high-end aftermarket “wolf- tooth” for the tallest gear free of charge. It feels good to know that not only my dealer Global Bikes will back me up with great service but so will “Specialized Bicycle Components, Inc.” Dave, Dustin and the entire team at Global Bikes Gilbert gives me confidence in my riding future. My advice is to pay a bit more to get a “Specialized” bike because it will be stronger, lighter, with better components than the cheaper bikes and will be worth it in the long run. I also advise you get it at Global Bikes because they are a friendly dealership with a professional experienced staff that supports the community and will back you up with great service.

Recently moved to the area and was anxious to try the variety of mountain biking trails available out here. I looked around and decided on Global bikes for a tune up based mainly on location and the online reviews. Could not have been happier with the experience - even when there was a hiccup. First, the service department called while working on the bike to ask why I wanted a brake bleed. I was new to disc brakes and just assumed a bleed was a necessary part of routine maintenance. The service tech explained that isn’t so, said my brakes were fine and charged me the lower price tune-up. All that was great. But the first time I rode my bike after picking it up the chain was slipping badly and eventually broke about a quarter mile in. Concerns about the chain were the main reasons I had expressed for bringing the bike in to the shop. Took it back to Global and the service manager (Dustin?) explained everything they had done including the attention they gave to the chain during the service, sold me a new chain at cost and installed it for free right then. The bike now rides like a dream. Global’s service during the tune-up and their response to my issue afterward were the embodiment of true customer service in action. The staff at Global clearly loves what they do and that enthusiasm carries over to the service they provide. They will have me as a customer as long as I’m riding.
