Stopped at this Discount Tire location to get my rear passenger tire repaired because it had screw in it and the tire kept losing air of course. One of the tire techs came out to look at it and looked at my other 3 tires as well. He immediately tells me my front tires are dangerously worn and they must be replaced asap. Even asked me if I wanted to call my husband to let him know (??). I told him I didnt want to call my husband and I was aware they are getting worn and close to needing to be replaced but I wasnt going to do that at that moment. He asked why and I told him Im going to do it at Firestone on the military base because I get a good price there for being in the military. He says well I can give you a discount. So just to entertain him, I asked well what can you offer me? He said he can do two michelin tires for around $480, then "discounts" to $420 (keep in mind this is 2 tires). I told him no and I just wanted my rear tire repaired. I had just replaced my other rear tire a month ago, same michelin tires he was trying to sell me at a "discounted" $210 per tire for $160 at Costco, so buying 2 at a "discounted" $420 was not going to happen. He then tells me well if I repair your rear tire Ill have to replace your front tire with the donut because it is unsafe or you can buy one tire for the front and Ill do the repair on the rear tire. I asked so you cant repair my rear tire unless I buy new ones for the front? He said its discount tire policy that he cant let my car leave "unsafe". But youll refuse to repair my damaged tire that wont hold anything higher than 24 psi of air?? I said ok Ill go somewhere else to get the repair. I hate that as female you cant go to any type of automotive maintenance shop alone without someone talking to you as if youre totally ignorant or they try to get you to buy things you dont need. Im not ignorant, Ive done regular preventative maintenance on my own car. I also regularly do visual checks on my tires to see if theres anything in my tires, make sure theyre not running low on air, look at tread, etc. I ended up going to Firestone, got my rear tire repaired and got an awesome quote for my 2 front tires for $290 (which didnt need to immediately be replaced by the way, two different techs at Firestone inspected my tires just to make sure). Needless to say I wont be going to Discount ever again.

I had a flat tire a few years ago and went to Discount Tire in Avondale for help. They repaired the flat for free, no questions asked, and sent me on my way in a matter of minutes. When my tires eventually lost their tread, I went back to this store to purchase a new set. My father races cars, so he naturally wanted to purchase four top of the line racing tires for my tiny commuter car. The gentleman behind the counter, John, arched an eyebrow at the over-expense and pulled me aside to explain the different tires and prices. He even went so far as to find tires that were a different model, from a different store, that would save me more than half of the expense I was looking at. My dad bought the racing tires, anyway, and John jokingly suggested a new set of premium racing wheels to go along with the upgrade. Two years later, I drove for two hours without realizing that I had a flat tire. What started as a simple nail and leak evolved into a shredded inner wall by the end of the day. I called the Discount Tire store in Avondale, asking for help, and they told me to bring the car down -- even though the store had already closed for the day. John and his crew got my car in and out of the shop faster than I had even imagined possible, without a peep or complaint about being kept late. The entire service was wiggled into my warranty contract, as well, so a brand new tire cost me under $20. These guys are amazing. tl;dr: THIS IS A GOOD PLACE WITH GOOD PEOPLES. SHOP HERE.

I took my tire there to get patched at around 12:15, they said they would call me when its done in about an hour, at 3:50 I called them (since they close at 5) to see if my tire was done being patched, they said yeah it was done at 1, I get there and my tire if off the rim, I said you guys said it was done and no one could tell me why my tire was just sitting there off its rim for 4 hours, I had 5 to 6 random workers not know why, then they said the hole was to big to patch, which isnt true because Ive had holes bigger than that get patched, they finally said its because I drove it when it was getting flat, okay it took them 4 hours to tell me that? And I didnt even ride the side walls a lot, instead of me waiting for them to do nothing to my tire I could have been looking for another replacement tire, worst experience ever, the discount on Indian school is better

Went here to give them a shot at keeping my business even though I was screwed on the last transaction with them. Off to a bad start, watched as the reps make fun of the customers and ignored the phone calls. Needed at least two new tires but was ready to buy a full set if the price was right. Already shopped around prior to coming here, and was given a ridiculously high price here. Told them I was just going to go to S&S Tire since they were much cheaper for the same exact same tire. The rep tried to get me to sign up for a credit card since the price was higher then their competitor. Not.ounce did he ask me what the best price was I found. The most professional person that was there was the assistant manager Tony. If you do decide to go to this location please see him over anyone else

My initial problem was my front 2 tires being low, i was concerned i might have ran something over causing my tires to not keep pressure. Was apparently "serviced". Get back in my car for the same 2 front tires reading at 24 and 20. But they swear my tires were rotated, they found a nail and fixed all issues. Funny if they were rotated i would be having low issues in the back now. If someone goes in for low tire pressure wouldnt it make sense to fill the tires? Thank you for wasting my time. I have never bought tires anywhere but this location for 3 years, after being lied to and wasting my time i will never believe a word out of Discount Tire. By the way i have had my vehicle inspected and was informed theres no way my tires were rotated. Thanks for the crappy service.

Quick and friendly! This is my new tire place!! There were more than a dozen people waiting outside to get in when the store opened. I had made an appointment online the night before for 8 am and they called me out of the crowd and took care of my needs first. Definitely pays to have an appointment! Friendly, no-pressure sales staff. I was in and out in 30 minutes, 2 tires replaced. I would highly recommend! Everyone working there had a smile on their face and was eager to help the next person. If you want fast service, be sure to make an appointment. If you dont make an appointment, please dont feel you have the right to complain about slow service. They are a high volume store and you should expect to wait.
