I was helping my Mother purchase her first new car since before I was born and I am 45 years old. We were treated fairly and I feel that we got a good deal on the car, but once the paperwork was signed it was though the lady who sold us the car, Laverne Hooper, lost interest in anything I had to say. The car was very dirty when we looked at it on the lot and test drove it. I made a strong point to here that this was a special occasion for both myself and my mother and that I wanted the car cleaned so it looked like a new car. After we came out of the finance office, the car had been pulled around. It was still filthy. he had not been washed properly, had a black hand mark on the back of the passenger seat where someone had leaned into the car, the passenger side front door handle had a lot of black dust on it and the exterior or the car looked like two blind men had tried to clean it. You could still see the dirt all over the car. After inspecting the vehicle, I told Mrs. Hopper that this was unacceptable and that I had made a special request that they just clean the car, heck it is new and should look it. She immediately tuned me out and started talking to my mother about bringing the car back in to have it cleaned. Well, we live thirty miles away and didnt want to have to spend another day sitting around. Well she completely ignored me, so I had to go and get the Manager and I showed him the horrible job done by the cleaning crew and expressed my distain for Mrs. Hopper for ignoring my concerns. The manager immediately asked what would solve the problem, so I told him I wanted it done right and that I would take my mother to an early supper while the car was cleaned. We got back and it had been smeared up like two twelve year old boys had opened a detail shop. You cant put spray wax over dirt and expect it to look right, and you could still see wax in the joints between body panels. I was done at that point and had already decided that I would remedy the problem at home myself so the car would look like somebody gave a damn after they had taken our money. I washed and polished the car myself the very next day and now it looks like a new car. I would advise anyone doing business with this bunch not to sign a damn thing until the car is properly inspected for what they say they are going to do. I bought a 2013 Accent from them in November of 2014, and had the same problem which I tried to overt by insisting to Mrs. Hopper that it be done right the first time so we could enjoy our experience. I would advise anyone looking to purchase a Hyundai Vehicle to buy elsewhere so as to avoid the distress of being literally ignored and getting a sub standard job done to say the very least. We will not be back for anything, "AT ALL" because of the way we were treated and the fact that in two cases we had to solve our own problems, when it should have been the pleasure of the Sales person making the commission off of the sale of the car instead of being ignored and treated like vagabonds after they got their money. Shop ELSEWHERE! I wish I had.

My wife needed a new car so during the Christmas Holidays we visited just about every dealership in Montgomery. My wife was interested in the Nissan Altima (that was her previous car that she loved very much), Toyota Camry, and Kia Optima. We have a tendency to keep cars for a long time so we approached this very cautiously. The first thing I noticed when we went to Capital Hyundai was the price tags hanging in every car...even the new ones. Im not referring to the window sticker but instead to an actual price tag hanging from the mirror which in most cases was lower than the window sticker. I cant begin to tell you how great this is for someone window shopping on a Holiday. This saved us a lot of time by allowing us to look at cars within our budget and helped us move past those that did not have the price point we wanted. After looking at used cars at several dealerships we soon realized we could easily afford a new Hyundai with the best warranty in the business for about the same as we were going to spend on a used car. It didnt take long for my wife to fall in love with a Lakeside Blue Sonata. We went back the next business day and Laverne Hooper, who became our sales person, came out and met us in the used car lot. She was very pleasant and patient as we looked at and test drove different cars. I did hours of research online and became very interested in the Sonata Eco. Laverne found a Lakeside Blue Eco on the new car lot and let us take it on a long test drive. Again, she was very patient with us. That night we decided that we liked this car so I spent a few more hours on the internet looking at Sonata Ecos within a 300 mile radius. The next day I told Laverne that I found a better deal in SC (it would have been worth the drive) and she was able to get hers within the ball park. Everyone was very polite to us and seemed to want to sell us a car. They seemed very willing to negotiate a better deal even though their prices appeared to be very fair. I felt the sales team did everything they could to squeeze as much savings as possible to get us a great deal. My wife is thrilled with her new car and we are both glad we went to Capital Hyundai. To keep this review accurate and honest I must confess that I cannot comment on service after the sale because I just bought the car nor can I comment on the maintenance department due to lack of experience with them. I will say that we were taken to the service department and introduced to the check-in team and they seemed very nice. Perhaps Capital Hyundai has taken steps to correct some of the problems mentioned in older reviews or perhaps people who were happy with this dealership failed to take the time to write a good one. In either case my wife loves her new Sonata and we both had a good buying experience due mainly to Laverne Hooper.

My husband and I stopped by to look at a few models, compare prices and talk to a dealer about the Veracruz and Tuscon. After we had looked at different vehicles, we proceeded into the dealership. A male dealer met us at the door and asked us what we were looking at. The dealer led us to a vehicle inside the show room. He was very unprofessional and rude when speaking to us, as if he did not wish to assist us. He became even more so when we requested to view a vehicle outside. The vehicle was parked immediately outside the door, so he did not have to walk far, but he continued with his unprofessionalism by "barking" at us that he had another appointment and didnt have time to help us. He was paged over the loud speaker and abruptly left us outside without the courtesy of providing us with another dealer to assist us in a potential sale. As my husband and I were leaving, we noticed the dealer standing inside the show room by one of the vehicles doing absolutely nothing. He had no intentions of assisting us, especially if it consisted of him standing outside in the windy and cold weather. He never introduced himself to us and never gave us his card. The only way I know his name is because it was called out over the loud speaker. We had visited two other dealerships that day and was treated with courtesy, professionalism, and most importantly, MANNERS. Because of the atrocious behavior of this salesman, we will not be buying Hyundai and will take our business and MONEY elsewhere. No matter how well your vehicles sell, it is no excuse to behave in such a disgustingly egotistical manner. Ive noticed the other bad reviews and can guess that word of mouth will go around to stay away from Capitol Hyundai and shop elsewhere.
