Marvelous Marv

I like Books a Million--the store that is. We drive about 40 miles to go to it. My kids usually pick out some MineCraft stuff and I usually spend a lot more than I would elsewhere or online. My only complaint is that the tellers always try to push the "10% off membership" that cost $20. When I politely say no, they always push it. I understand that they are trying to build brand loyalty and perhaps make some profit but I really dread checking-out. Tonight, after the 2-part closing techniques to get me to buy the 10% off membership (which I said no to) the girl asked me if I wanted to buy some coffee for the troops. She lifted a little bag of coffee. I asked how much and she said $9.99. I said no and she looked at me like I was a dirtbag who didnt support the troops. I support them but will not by being guilted into buying over priced coffee "for the troops." Im not sure they make a killing on it and send a small portion to help troops but not even close to the $9.99. Will not be shopping there again for a long time. Get into the 21st century, Books a Million (BAM) and build customer loyalty in other ways besides grilling your customers.

Very nice, clean setup with a variety of genres to choose from. Some things are a bit pricey but overall the items are of good quality. Joe Muggs coffee was a bit slow on service but still had very kind employees. I spent about 30 minutes my last visit but I would probably on average spend about 45-50 minutes in the store. The store is overall a great place to go while you are in town if you have time to spare, are looking for a gift, or just want a new book to read.

Books a million is a great store. The prices are a little expensive, but I enjoy browsing the selection. They also have an impressive collection of CDs, vinyls, pop culture merchandise, comic books, puzzles, games, magazines, and a full service coffee shop, Joe Muggs if youre not in the mood for books.

This place is dangerous. Like a toys r us and bookstore combined in one, brings out the child in me every time I go in and sucks the life out of my wallet. Great for eye-shopping when youre bored and interested to see cute or weird little knick knacks.

Friendly helpful employees here. The store is well laid out and its easy to find what you are looking for. They have a wide selection of books, childrens toys, and magazines. Very easy to find and the parking lot is easy to maneuver.

Great service at Joe Muggs. I always ask for a staff suggestion for my coffee and they never disappoint. Quite place to read and cool and calm all around. Perfect place to spend all day at.

Clean store and nice cold ac on a hot day. Cashier left the front to help me find a book, was very kind. She started interesting small talk too. One of the best BAMs Ive been in.
