Awful service. I had to return an item about 2 months ago. After giving me the run-around for 30 minutes, I finally talked to the most deadbeat manager ever, who reluctantly gave me store credit (I had also purchased an extended protection plan on that item). Now, I go back (unfortunately) and its been awhile, so I forgot to bring the store credit certificate. However, I was smart enough to take a picture of it on my phone. I have an HD photo with the barcode, corresponding number, and cash value clearly displayed. They will not look it up by number. The f***ing little piece of paper has to be present. The amount of money on the certificate is stored in their computer database --- if they charge the remaining value, it will not work anyway, regardless of whether I bring in the paper copy later. Save your time, gas money, and frustration - do not shop here. Very sincerely, Disgruntled ex-Menards customer

Customer service means: lazy kid on forklift point you in other direction, then hide. We received all the help we needed and answers too all the questions we had. Then came the picking up our purchases in the back, wow can I say lazy and unhelpful. I recently hurt myself so a little assistance would have been greatly appreciated, none to be had this time. While I loaded the plywood I had to get from in the store, four employeesstood around their forklifts because heaven forbid they walk and were shooting the shi# just talking away like theyre at a party. Last time in this store no, but last time thinking its worth it too shop there.

If they sell you something and it is defective, they just blow you off and wash their hands of you. Wont even do an in store exchange for the same item setting stocked on the shelf to replace a defective item which was attempted to be returned the same day it was purchased. They dont know the products they sell and clearly dont do enough employee training. The people in hardware do not have knowledge of hand tools. GO ACROSS THE STREET TO LOWES

I have been to many Menards stores and usually have positive things to say, but this one in Grand Forks is horrible. Carpet cleaners were there tonight and were spraying cleaning solution near customers feet as they walked in, the bathroom was filthy and served as a hangout for nearly a dozen flies, and the cashier, when I could hear past her mumbling, had zero customer service skills. Lowes is just across the street and probably a better choice.

Love this store. They have a little of everything and it is well laid out and easy to find the right area. I personally avoid this store like the plague on the weekends as it get super busy and the lines at the till take forever, but any other day is usually just fine. The garden center is very nice. Lumber is usually very nicely priced and stored well to minimize warped and twisted boards. Bathrooms are kept up throughout the day as well.

Most of the employees are usually very helpful, except for when theyre not. But theyre usually not not helpful. And theyre usually cheery, except for when theyre not. But theyre usually not not cheery. Except for that one checkout lady. Has a permanent look on her face like some kids just pooped in her flower garden. I understand working checkout is not the most glamorous, but faking it a little wouldnt hurt.

No customer service after receiving a damaged product. Manager suggested that I damaged it instead of dealing with the problem. No corporate customer service available when my issue wasnt resolved at the store level. When I received damaged goods from Lowes, they were easy to work with and my problem was quickly resolved. Shop there instead.

Nichole in Millwork has a "lame to hungover" type attitude toward paying clients and her job. Over the phone, unwilling to help, one word answers, no elaboration to my questions. Totally disinterested in what shes there to do, if in fact shes aware of what shes there to do...

WENT IN TO MAKE A LARGE PURCHASE . Over 5000.00 , but after talking with Erick in building materials . I was met with rude bad customer service So I decided to shop else where .. Home Depot is great with customer service .. Will not be shopping at menards EVER

They may be cheap but I just had to load half my patio blocks by myself then ran after some one to help me. Thats after running down some one to find them then to a desk to place an order then to another spot to pay then to the ya5d..Arghhhh!!

Shouldve been simple to go in and pick up some shingles. Come to find out you have to go out to a warehouse. Where there are no employees to assist you. Not pleased at all. I wlll pay the extra money and go to Lowes.Completely unsatisfied.

11% rebate from time to time is great but product selection varies and isnt very complete for such a large chain. Customer service and knowledgeable staff doesnt exist at this store, if you want that go to Lowes or Ace Hardware

I have done thousands of dollars of business with Menards and find them hard to beat. Employees are helpful, management is there if there is any problem. Know what you are buying, there is the good, the bad, and the ugly.
