Top marks for Berkeley Honda Yamaha. Just had my 08 FZ6 serviced here, and here is my scoop from 2 visits: The shop is clean and feels spacious. They could definitely pack more gear and bikes in here if they wanted to, but you do not get the feeling like youre about to knock something over every five seconds (common for me as Im very broad shouldered/hipd, 63" & 225lbs). Their focus in sales is definitely on sport bikes & dirt, so if youre seeking a place to go and sit on all the different cruisers, keep looking. Spoke with Sergio who was engaging, friendly and always spoke from personal experience when offering upkeep methods, additional maintenance and products. He remembered me, if not all the details, from the moment I walked in the door on my return visit which is always refreshing. In my initial probing, he mentioned that he has only been with them for a short time over the recent months, but he had worked at this dealership for several years previously and he spoke very highly of: Karl, the service manager. Karl has purportedly worked in the service department at this dealership (possibly even in the role of service manager, I cant remember which) for 20 years. Karl is not the most gregarious person at first exchange, but he was all business and EXTREMELY thorough. From my exchanges with him, he is exactly the sort of person I want working on and in charge of those working on my motorcycle. As per the below review from Yahoo stating that the service manager had attitude, I think we need to remember that paperwork and computer entry systems are not typically the strongest suits, nor the most relished tasks, of your finer motorcycle mechanics out there! I chose Berkeley Honda Yamaha for their location and was treated exceptionally well and while the service was a minor, they still accommodated me for a same day appointment, drop-off and pick-up - Amazing! When it came time to settle, Karl did everything possible to ensure I got the best pricing the dealership could offer on my new rear tire and on the service bill, even though I had already presented a coupon for $50 off a service from Yamaha Motor Corp due to my original supplying dealer having stopped their sales of Yamaha products. Coupons are generally a PITA for retailers in terms of redemption ease, so the insistence on Karls part to get me the best available price was definitely noticed. Will I be back? Most definitely.

Owned a bike of one sort or another for 35 years now. In that course Ive dealt with over a dozen shops. I can easily sort them into two categories: 1) all the others and 2) Berkeley Yamaha Honda. My first experience was two years ago when new model I had purchased at another dealership required a filter for the break in service that hadnt hit dealer shelves yet. Well after calling every dealer in Bay Area, Karl was the one and only guy to call me the next week when he got one in. So after that treatment (on such a low markup service mind you) Ive gone there consistently. All services - great price, outstanding service each and every time. On my way home I stopped in with slow leak in rear tire - caught them at a busy time - storeroom full of other customers. 30 minutes later Im a scant few dollars lighter in the wallet and back on the road on a tire that needed no more attention until replacement time. How good are they? - I am often tripped up when considering a new bike by any other manufacturer than Honda or Yamaha, because I appreciate their business so much. They are the best!

Honest. This is the best place to buy a bike from. I cant speak to the service department, but the sales staff were honest and helpful. They went out of their way to help me deal with a title issue on my used bike and went above and beyond what I expected from a dealer. They inquired several times about my issue at the DMV main office in Sacramento and kept updating me about the status. Ultimately they saved me from a few trips to the DMV as well as a pretty big fine (long story - not my fault, not their fault). They even offered to pay my registration as a token of good faith for the hassle (even though it was not their fault). This is not the kind of experience I expected to have with a dealership. Makes me want to buy my next bike from them, even though I dont live in the Bay anymore. Bottom line: This is a great shop with knowledgeable and honest owner / employees. I would gladly buy my next bike from them.

I just bought a Yamaha Zuma scooter and found this store to be outstanding. Scott was the sales person I talked to and he was very honest and knowledgeable. If you want to pay much lower than the MSRP, it will be tough since there is not much of a mark up (the price the store charges is only a few hundred dollars more than the price the store must pay). Luckily there is a $200-$300 factory rebate on some Yamaha models. Also, Honda and Yamaha make really reliable scooters so you cant go wrong with the brand.

I am a veteran rider and bike purchaser. I just bought a new Yamaha at Berkeley Honda Yamaha and have to say it was hands down the best bike buying experience I have had in a long long time. Friendly, knowledgeable, no nonsense, No BS sales speak. Pricing was more than fair, the bike was prepped and spotless clean. DMV paperwork took all of about 5 minutes and was handled pleasantly. Parts guy hooked me up with all my aftermarket must have needs. Gotta give em all a 5 star rating.

Most of my experience with Berk Yamaha was in 2006, 10 years ago! Their honesty and competence was already excellent then. Karl helped me with an insurance estimate. His prompt professionalism and solid information helped me get a fair settlement on the crashed bike. Parts Dept. has helped me many times with parts and accessories in stock and special orders. Very smooth transactions every time. Theyre my dealer!

This is a review of my experience with Berkeley Yamaha Honda. The person you want to talk to is Scott and he is great. He is friendly, professional and respectful. You will not get any double dealing with you. Be straight with him and he will tell you for what it is. He is co-owner I think and will not talk to you like a sales person. So if you are thinking of getting a bike, this is the place to get.

While I ride a different brand and my closest dealer is 30 mi away these guys have been very helpful with accessories and maintenance. They are straight forward and honest. I may even switch to their brands when I make my next trade due to their service support...Would definitely recommend them and I have no association with the dealership at all...
