Absolutely incredible service, both from the service department and from parts. As a traveler from southern California in the middle of a 5k mile trip, they were VERY accommodating with some small issues that arose with my bike while passing through the area and required a bit of warranty work. They were able to do the 12k service as well all in the same day and get me back on the road without interrupting my vacation. Another dealership that happens to be ~36 miles to the north told me it would be a month before they would even look at my bike, and would be "happy to help if I felt like leaving my bike until winter, or call BMWs 800 number to see if they could help me" (no joke, they actually told me that) but these guys really made the extra drive down from Seattle worth it. Keith in service was very friendly, and took the extra time to explain his experience with the area to help me avoid traffic, as well as giving me some pointers on my particular model of bike (his experience with different brands of tires, maintenance, issues hes seen, etc.) He was very knowledgeable with the ins and outs of my particular bike (K1600GTL.) He really went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of, for which I can;t thank him enough. Neil was very thorough in his review of the work that needed to be done and was very upfront about costs for the 12k maintenance service which was very appreciated! When picking up the bike I was provided a full checklist of work performed as well as items they checked, and recommendations for future maintenance. The amount payed was exactly what I was quoted when I pulled the bike in. Brenden (the GM) also came to take a look and offered to help out however possible and took a look at the bike. A nice touch. The parts department was excellent with their suggestions for apparel and I even left with another $1k worth of riding gear. They have a great selection of gear and accessories. I wasnt in the market for another bike, but the showroom was very well stocked with eye candy to peruse while waiting for service - so it was nice to take a look. they have a few leather couches next to a fireplace which was a great spot to hang out and kill some time. If youre in the area, stop and check them out. They exceeded my expectations, and I had a very positive experience.

I bought a motorcycle from South Sound in September, 2014. I exchanged emails, made phone calls with the salesman and we agreed on a sale price. My husband and I drove up from Portland on a Saturday morning after letting the dealer know Friday that we would be at their showroom at 9am sharp. We arrived as stated yet still ended up waiting for an hour for docs to be written up. The regular finance guy who I had spoken with the night before didnt come into the showroom so no one seemed to know what to do. After much ado, we got the bike, the paperwork is completed and the fact that I was an Oregon buyer and required an Oregon title had been discussed. The bike was a demo bike and owned by BMW. I left with my 3 day temp permit. Fast forward to October, I still hadnt received plates and when I called South Sound they told me the title would be sent to my lien holder but they would send a copy so that I could register the bike. I get the copy and go into DMV to be told that was not sufficient. So I called my bank who said they had received the title but that it was sent to the State of Oregon and that according to their paperwork we had paid the titling and plate fees so it would be processed and I wouldnt have to go to the DMV. It is November now, and I have had to renew my temporary tags twice, and I still do NOT have plates, two months after I bought the bike. I am disgusted with the level of service from South Sound, that no one seems to know what to do, that I keep spending money on temporary tags and have no idea where my plates are now. Thank you South Sound incompetence and DMV hell. If you choose to buy a bike from South Sound and are an out of state resident, use caution.

Had a great purchase experience on my 09 GSA1200. I highly recommend them for bike purchases. At the time of purchase I also bought many accesories and even some riding gear afterwards (lots of $$$$). However, purchasing additional accessories has not gone well. In one particular case, I purchased an item (spray skirt by Best Rest) that proved not to be a good fit with my ESA and was destroyed even though I followed installation instructions to the letter. In fact, I met with Best Rest here in North Seattle to discuss and demonstrate in person, whereby the owner (Dave.. a great guy BTW), confirmed that there was an issue with fit. SSBMW wouldnt refund my money even though Best Rest negotiated replacing the defective part with SSBMW upon me returning it. I went out of my way per the request of of both Best Rest (North Seattle) and SSBMW (far south of Seattle in Fife) to work this issue to work the issue (Both places are a long way for an Eastsider like me to get to). I can sympathize with not taking back a used accessory, but a broken defective part that even the manufacturer has looked at... come on! I will never buy any more parts/accessories from SSBMW as it seems that their policy is not to refund money on defective parts. I wont do bussiness with folks who dont stand behind what they sell. I discussed this scenario with several other dealers, including Ride West in Seattle and, even though they are the same owners, they were taken back by the lack of customer centric repsonse I recieved.

I was in the market for a street bike, having ridden mainly dual-sport and offroad my entire life. I really had no clue what I wanted. I visited multiple shops around the area and looked at cruisers, crotch rockets and cafe racers/naked bikes. I checked out South Sound and was really impressed with how knowledgable and helpful they were. I never felt pressured and was "left alone" when I wanted to be. I returned a couple times to look and finally test rode almost every bike they had. The last bike I tried was amazing and fit me like a glove. I was given multiple options for financing and even told I could buy the demo bike for a considerable savings (which I did) I was shown all the features of my bike (Ducati Monster 1200 S) and they even stayed after hours to make sure I was ready to go. Wayne our salesman was awesome and Oscar in the parts department was amazingly helpful (and he has really cool hair). I will definitely reccommend South Sound to all of my friends who are in the market.

When I bought my motorcycle it was the easiest, most hassle free event I have had when purchasing something like this. More importantly the sales people were motorcycle riders themselves and knew the ins and outs of riding. I believe this helped them help me get a motorcycle I love. When it came time to change the back tire on the motorcycle due to a staple puncture these guys were on it. Crazy friendly, the big bearded guy that wears the Irish cap in service that checked me in was more like talking to someone about bikes than someone at dealership. When there was a question about insurance on the tire, Mark( I believe, he was the service manager) did nothing but make it right. Great dealership, great service department. Neither of them took advantage of me and actually looked out for me as I am new to the motorcycle game. THANK YOU!! If you are buying a bike as quality as a BMW, the dealership should match the bike, and in this case it does.
