Heres the deal with HF. LOTS OF FUN to roam the aisles look for deals. Tape measures to screwdrivers other simple hand tools. Cant go too wrong. Low prices, good quality. Now if you get into higher end products like compressors, etc you are taking a gamble. It might work fine, or might be no good out of the box. Worst case, with 90 day guarantee, on most items, it works for 90 then kaput. Take out the extra warranty on expensive items, then you have up to 2 years in most cases. Return anytime , for any reason, within that 2 year period. Sign up to have receipt sent to your email plus sign up for inside track deals at only $27 a year. Definitely worth it for lowest prices, plus you register with your phone number, so easy return look up on their part. Its hit or miss, but lets face it, even the big boys like Milwaukee or Bosch, Craftsman, go bad sometimes. So when you remove the risk its pretty good. For us contractors, if we get burned with a bad piece of equipment too often, since we rely on them for the job even if its returnable, we will stay away after awhile. Keep the quality up with your vendors, Harbor Freight, or you will lose us.

If you are the casual handyman, and dont need the best of everything, this is the place for you. Most of what they sell will get the job done, but if you are a contractor I suggest you buy brand name at twice the price. Sign up and look for coupons, you get great discounts.

First Harbor freight Ive been to in NJ, and this place was great. Very clean store and helpful staff, usually great deals on some things.
