Clean store, neatly attired staff, bright lighting, plenty to look at while waiting for them to estimate the value of your "for sale" gold/jewelry. I was told what I was being given for each piece I sold, and why. Theres nothing "sleazy" about Poplar Pawn... I highly recommend them as both a buyer of gold and a bargain jewelry store. Update: 5 years later In recent years I have continued to use Poplar when I want to sell scrap/broken jewelry, have had them set stones and repair broken jewelry, and have purchased electronics and diamond jewelry, and feel I am always treated fairly. The Dundalk store is a little more crowded and usually very busy, but offers an interesting an eclectic variety of non-jewelry items as well.

Went here to sell my wife ring only because she wanted one @ jarred but jarred doesnt take trade in toward purchase of upgrade from them unless the ring came from them. We are into the current ring @ $1800 i heard poplar gave 85% value of what you paid for it they offered me $150 for it diamond ring with halo and band. I sold them a 10k jesus pendant necklace for $950 which i paid $1100 for it which wasnt bad then a diamond ring got low balled
