I would give zero stars if i could. Everytime Ive gone into this place to get some sort of idea of what my items are worth, they look at it for literally 20 seconds, hand it back to me, and inform me that Id be better off going somewhere else. They have not once offered any practical information. Even when i tell them that Id simply like to know what they would offer, they refuse to give me a straight answer. Its happened 3 times. The last time i went in i had just broken up with my girlfriend of 10 years, and i had some pretty expensive jewelry with a lot of unwanted memories attached to it. One of the rings was a 1/2ct diamond 14k white gold engagement ring that i paid over $600 for. The lady behind the counter said the quality of the diamond was very poor and "its only 14k gold". I was not aware that 14k gold was worthless now. She said they literally have boxes of poor quality diamonds and thus have no desire to even make an offer for mine. I reminded her several times that all i wanted to know was what their offer WOULD BE, and she would not give me a number. Every time Ive been in there it always feels an awful lot like Im being discriminated against. I dont know if its because Im a male trying to sell female jewelry, or how i dress or how young i am, or what. But i encourage everybody i know to NOT give this place their business. I took my stuff to a coin shop and they gave me an offer on my "very poor quality diamond" within 2 minutes.

I have been dealing with Olde Towne Jewelers for about twenty years, when I lived in California and even later when I moved to New York. I always visit them when I am in the West. Eric Iskoff is just the finest businessman I know. His prices are fair and often real bargains, he is interested in his customers, and writes to me when he has something I might be interested in. I have asked him to undertake some very small, odd repairs and modifications to old jewelry which he did cheerfully, quickly and at a reasonable rate. He is just the best. And, this store is a wonderful restoration of an early 20th century commercial structure, its design and furnishing is elegant and unusual. Lloyd Prator New York City

I went in to sell some gold jewelry that was given to me by my grandmother that i never really wore. Mostly earrings and a few bracelets, which I typically do not wear. Eric was very honest and straightforward and told me exactly what my items were and what they were worth and allowed me to make a more informed decision before eventually doing a part trade-in and part cash transaction. They have the most incredible selection of estate jewelry I have ever seen hands down! I ended up leaving with an absolutely gorgeous 1940s cocktail ring.
