Neighborhood stalwart has been through changes over the years with more to come. Sometime in the last five years, a savvy merchandiser took over the pricing policy at the "boutique" store that forms the southern part of this large store. The prices went up to something closer to what you might find on eBay, but not quite what an Etsy seller would demand. More recently, it seems someone is combing through the clothing racks and sending the better items to the store on Santa Monica Blvd that sits opposite the Santa Monica Public Library. Those two cautions aside, though, this remains a treasure and trash trove thats worth the occasional visit, particularly if youve broken a favorite Pyrex dish or want a few used paperbacks to read on the plane and leave behind in the hotel room.

I was reluctant to even post a review because it is such a selfish pleasure to go here. Very easy to donate items ( drive up donation in the back); being in. Santa Monica, the quality of donations appears to be better than other locations. Alert: street parking is available, but goes fast. There are several freelance movers that station themselves right outside of the store to help transport whatever large furniture you just got back to your place.

This is the best thrift store. There are 2 salvation army thrift stores aide by side. One is a great general store that pretty much covers any furnishing and clothing are great but vintage sound systems are awesome. The other salvation army store right next door is a very unique thrift store all together. They have a higher end line of clothing, unique collectables possible antiques excellent for decoration of your home.

So Ive been going here for the past 5 years they use to be way cheaper!!! They have two stores one with the upmarket designer labels and good quality furniture and then next door has the real bargains. The stuff are super friendly and very helpful taking your goods to the car! Shout out to Mario, Alan and Gus. Got this car for my daughter last week $125 in the sale normally $599 at Toy R Us! Need I say more.

DROP-OFF HOURS: Google shows different hours, which are specific to the store. Note that while the store is closed on Sunday, you can still drop-off! I couldnt find this information on the website, so I thought I would provide it here: Drop-off hours: Mon - Sat: 7am - 7pm Sun: 11am - 4pm or 5pm (you may want to call to confirm; perhaps this changes). A worthy non-profit organization!

They should change the manager of that store. They priced those items there wrongly. Even didnt check online before priced something. They took donation stuffs and sold it even more expensive than ebay. A good place to spend time at but be careful and check price before you buy anything.

Great place too donate help a cause and furnishe your house with some great stuff people give to charity to help others and on top you furnish your home great brand clothing for less than the mall a pair of great quality jeans you can get it there for a fraction of the cost..

Plan to park on the street and feed a parking meter, but you will not be disappointed in the clothing selection. The store draws contributions from the Westside of LA, with many garments never worn.

Good thrift shop! My buddy and I found a lot of cool 90s style trinkets for a video we were shooting. Seemed like they had a good selection of clothes and electronics too

sometimes there are great deals,you just need to know when and where to look,it would be great if they posted store hrs.closed on Sunday.

What a complete ripoff. I get that its for a good cause, and you LA folks are used to getting screwed, but this is ridiculous!

Way overpriced, they attach eBay print outs with overpriced "buy it now" prices as justification for high prices.
