This vons is good and definitely helpful when asking for assistance but management sucks. It has little to do with the managers but more to do with the greedy company. The commercial for vons recently says that if there are more than 3 people in a line, they will open up another register. Well its not true if you cant give enough hours to your workers. Unfortunately the case here is vons limits the managers to give out hours and it hurts the customer service. I love that vons is turning into a healthier shopping experience with organics and other smart moves but vons will eventually bury themselves.

Produce is very expensive. Meat is almost fair but they hide the worst underneath the good part of the meat. The pork ribs have less meat than Lk Isabella Mrkt. A few of the checkers are VERY SASSY! One of my check-outs, she was on her ear-phone, on a private conversation trying to check me out, and not doing very good. I tried asking her a question and she got mad at me. Then she would stop to hear what the person was saying on the phone. I wanted to get out of there but I had to keep waiting for her conversation to ease up so she could continue ringing my stuff up.

It was an easy shopping trip today.That was especially nice for Saturday. Cashier was great! I am very pleased with the employees at our Vons here. The most humorous thing today was the very long line at the express check out. It went all of the way back towards the other end of the store! Humerous because there were 3 regular check out, and just a few people at each one. So today, people with 15 items or less going quickly for express, was an oxymoron! But thats on the customers, not the store. Was fun for us in the regular lines to giggle at them! LOL

As usual, it was ghastly. Only one express line and one regular checkout on the 4th of July. (Guess the market doesnt want to pay triple time) Had to go up and request the checkout person call for more help. The "could care less" manager should be alert to that kind of problem. But it is the only grocery store market serving a fishing / mountain community of 2,500 people so who is gonna listen?

This store is typically understaffed. However, there are a lot of nice, courteous, and helpful employees who work at this store. The only not so nice one is Ann, who is usually a cashier or at the customer service desk. She is mean, rude, and not helpful. She doesnt just have a bad day here and there...she is always like this.

I had the opportunity to use the public restrooms at Vons on Sat. Feb. 20, 2016. I was appalled at the condition. Doesnt appear anyone takes care of the restrooms. The womens was out of service and the mens should have been as well. Hopefully the employee restrooms are in better shape as they handle the food!

The people here are some of the nicest I know. I do, however, have a major complaint. Whoever does the scheduling does a pretty poor job sometimes. I am currently in a line stretching nearly the full width of the store with only one person on a register and nobody bagging. This isnt uncommon.

Way expensive groceries. The Vons grocery card lowers prices to normal price levels. Very crowed because only large supermarket in 50 mile radius. Customer service astoundingly terrible. During busy hours not enough cashiers available. People get frustrated.

I really agree with the post "Just," entered. Once last year I looked at their lemons and they were extremely expensive. I try to do all my shopping at the Lake Isabella Market and Walmart Superstore in Bakersfield.

Because we are stuck up here in a remote area, they really stick it to us on prices and you have to wait forever in lines. They are higher on prices in the city, but up here its way worse.
