AWFUL!!!! TOOK MY DOG TO BE GROOMED AND THEY DID EVERY THING I ASKED THEM NOT TO DO!! ITS LIKE GOING TO A HAIR SALON FOR A TRIM AND GETTING SHAVED BALD! THEY PRETENDED TO LISTEN TO ME, PRETENDED TO UNDERSTAND AND THEN CUT MY DOG TO LOOK LIKE A POODLE AND HE IS AN OUTDOOR DOG! IT IS GROSS!!! THE PERSONNEL THERE ARE AWFUL FROM THE GROOM TO THE MANAGERS. GROOMERS LIED TO THEIR MANAGER, FALSIFIED INFORMATION ON THEIR COMPUTER ON WHAT I REQUESTED THE GROOMER TO DO. NEVER APOLOGIZED AND BLAMED ME FOR THIER LACK OF SKILL! I TOOK ONE LOOK AT MY DOG AND ALMOST CRIED, THAT IS HOW AWFUL THIS WAS. MANAGER CALLED - NO APOLOGY, SAID SHE NEEDED TO BELIEVE WHAT HER GROOMER SAID! lIKE i WOULD TELL THE GROOM TO CUT MY DOGS TAIL WITH NO HAIR ON IT AND A TUFF ON THE END WHEN WE HUNT OUR DOG AND HE IS AN OUTDOOR DOG. ARE THEY NUTS - I THINK SO. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM PETsMART ONALASKA AS YOU CAN. THEIR FISH ARE ALSO DISEASED, JUST A PLAIN AWFUL PLACE AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. THEY ARE DANGEROUS TO ANIMALS AND LACK ANY KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHAT AWAFUL SERVICE IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD. STAY AWAY!

I have been a frequent customer of Petsmart with my golden retriever and have always had a good shopping experience. However, I was displeased with having called ahead to notify the groomers that I would be bringing my cat in to have her nails trimmed only to arrive there after a 40 minute drive to be told her "rabies vaccination tag" wasnt sufficient as proof. This was my error as I questioned myself (prior to traveling) if the actual paperwork would be required. However, why is it okay for dog owners and their dogs to walk around in petsmart without proof of rabies vaccination? If the reason that its required for my cat is because of the possibility of her biting the groomer then why doesnt this requirement apply to dogs who walk around with their owners? A dog is just as capable of biting another dog or person as a cat is. I suppose the online documentation on my phone wouldnt have been enough either, so i didnt bother asking.

Love going there and love to pet the other dogs that come in there to shop. Staff are generally pretty good and well educated but there was one clerk a few years ago that was nasty a lot of the time. Glad I dont see that one anymore around there. I like that they have a little place near building where the dogs can go potty during the visit to the store. Thats convenient for the dogs. Mine usually has to go potty while there. Though I dont bring her in every time I go there if I just have to shop for dog food. Ill bring her in though if I shop for other stuff though if I dont want to do a quick run in and out of the building and I plan on staying for a bit.

I brought in my dog to have a grooming and a trim. Two hours later they call us and say he is to jumpy to trim and was howling in his kennel. I asked if they could just try with a scissors and not a electric clippers. Not one hair was cut on the dog and still charged it on the bill. All that happened was a bath. He is a mini breed and only weighs about 18 pounds but Petsmart charged us for a large dogs grooming. Thats a $40 bath. Petco alone for $30 did a full defined trim and a great scented bath while giving updates on his progress and how he was. Never would I recommend the grooming here.

Staff was rude. Not the first time we have left without buying what we came for-- fish. Staff Have talked down to us, assumed we knew nothing, and piped in with completely wrong information. Example: A 12 inch cube aquarium is not 5 gallons! They can keep their sad-looking betas, and their bad advice to themselves.

If you are trying to decide between here or the Petco, GO to Petco! Ive never had any special experiences here, the staff is around to help usually, but with no real interest or knowledgeable advice to give. I had one bad experience with an employee in the fish department, she was rude and i decided to just leave.

Cheaper than Petco for some things, but I havent compared all of it. Both are pretty expensive. Farm and Fleet and Woodmans are both cheaper if they have what you want. Menards is also pretty inexpensive for some dog stuff. Dollar store is a good place to buy cheap toys, collars, etc.

Best grooming experience ever. We adore Jess and so does our Lab/Poodle--he even know her by name! She always brings out his "inner cuteness", takes care of everything--dog breath, toenails, Poodle ear hair! He has stopped having ear problems of all sorts. Also very reasonable fees.

We bought a guineapig here and he was sick, had to take him to the vet, beacause I couldve taking him back so they could take him to the vet but they do a full refound, as if you return him and then when the piggie gets better they let you know you can "buy him again"

Most of the employees are very friendly and helpful. The pricing is pretty good also. I did have a terrible experience with a groomer who shave my dog. He looked like he had been attacked by a hoard of moths. How you can shave unevenly is beyond me.

I was checking out and the cashier asked me if I had PetPerks I said "yeah I do" and she completely ignored me and didnt do anything with me having my PetPerks. Why ask the question if youre not going to listen to the customers response? Not happy.

These people are great here. Real kind and they are helpful. If they dont have something you are looking for they will tell you when to expect the things to be back in stock. Plus you can bring your dogs shopping with you.

Very clean and well laid out. Not cramped, which is good for if you choose to bring your pet in (which is allowed). Selection and pricing on certain items could be better, but this is the exception rather than the rule.

hate it here. i try to buy a fish and they refuse to give me one even though all my other fish are alive and healthy!! They claim my fish will die if I put one more in when I have 3 in a 10 gallon tank!!!!!

DO NOT GET A PARAKEET OR ANY BIRD!!! you might think you are lonely and need a pet, they will screech your ears off and make your life hell - this has been one of the biggest regrets of my life!!!!

Ive never had any issues with the grooming salon. My Goldie can come in a matted stinky mess and leave looking like a show dog. He shows no hesitation when we arrive, that tells me quite a lot.

Have everything you need for your pet. Just dont expect every employee to be an expert on all of the pets they sell. Purchased a hamster here and the employee know nothing about them.

Great pet store. Find most of what we need for our pets. Offers grooming and they do a quality job. Prices could be slightly better perhaps, but I think that about most places ;).
