I was specifically interested in an Breezer Uptown 8 bicycle and called Blue Heron Bicycle Works to see if they had one available. Kevin (owner) told me he did not have one on the floor, but that he could easily order one for me if I was interested. He checked on price and availability and called me back within the same day with detailed information. I stopped by the shop and he spent time with me making reccomendations regarding frame size and other options. That day (Saturaday) I placed an order. Kevin called me the following Monday to notify me he had placed the order and gave me estimated arrival time. He then called me when the bike had arrived at his store and told me when it would be available for pick up. The day I came to pick it up it was assembled correctly, and he spent time helping me pick out accessories, fitting the seat height, answering my questions etc. This is the fourth bike shop I have visited between LaCrosse and EauClaire and is without a doubt the best. I will be going to Blue Heron for any future bike repairs, purchases, or bike accessories.

The new focus on repairs and coffee makes the store very approachable, especially for the non-elite biker. Ive brought several bicycles to Coulee Bicycle Co for service over the past two years. Kevin, the owner, has always been very pleasant to work with and their prices are very reasonable. I brought in a bicycle after a crash and a mechanic gave me a quote for the repairs. The next day Kevin called me and said that when they took the bike apart they found there were more parts that needed to be replaced. He worked with me to adjust the tuneup package so that even with the additional parts (new rear rim and axle), I paid approximately the same as my original quote. Additionally, I generally ask how he repairs things and Kevin is always more than willing to show me what he did. So not only do I get a great deal from a friendly local bike shop, but I learn more about my bike in the process.

I was riding around on my old bike and it was falling apart. I took it to Blue Heron and Gareth worked on it right then so I could ride it home again. They have since been keeping my new bike in working order. I know that the work they put in will last. Gareth is a perfectionist like myself and I value having my bike taken care of like one of their own. Kevin(the owner) and Gareth keep me informed on what they do for me and I can truly trust them to leave the decision up to me on what work they will do. Great prices on parts and bikes. They can work on any bike you throw at them. Honesty in prices is important to me and they never try to push anything i dont need or sell me something if i can get the same thing cheaper.

My favorite local bike shop! Stopped by a few months ago looking for a bike for my girlfriend. They were about to close but were willing to help us out. My girlfriend decided the comfort cruiser bikes Blue Heron carries were similar to what she was looking for. She found the exact bike she wanted elsewhere but I came back to Blue Heron after a terrible experience at Dicks Sporting Goods and found the mountain bike I wanted! I even brought it in to get a quick tune up and they took care of me right away. I will keep coming back to this store as long as I am in the area!

I stopped into Coulee on a trip across Wisconsin with the prayer that they would have the wide sized (700x40) tires that I wanted. Not only did Kevin get me rolling with awesome tires off of his take offs rack but he also gave my bike a quick tune up and made it feel great again. Super friendly shop with awesome service and a personal staff. I would definitely check them out if you need anything done on your bike.

Didnt find the bike we were looking for, but the shop was quaint and very well organized. The guy at the cashier desk gave us all the information we needed and even kindly helped us redirect us to a different bike shop. I would highly suggest using this bike shop over any other one in the Onalaska area.

This is the shop youve been looking for... You wont find a more friendly, helpful, knowledgeable shop. All the insight, none of the attitude. Stellar customer service and Kevins work is meticulous and he stands behind it. Kevins not happy til you are - not many shops can claim that. Check it out!
