Any local milwaukeen who complains should themselves make an effort to support local business also write our mayor and your local aldermen Tell them STOP selling downtown milwaukee real estate to out of town companies without some sort of restrictions they come to our beautiful city because they cant afford downtown real estate in their cities and they buy it to flip with no intentions on making the mall better this mall has been flipped so many times in the past 30 years its insane we need someone local to buy it who cares about our city its a shame that this mall is the center of downtown and a ghost town for all of you who dont care well when famous artist come to perform your favorite song they want to come to s fun city next gig they will think twice so this does all fall in all of us who live here lets do something the city needs restrictions just like the restrict local small business they need too place restrictions if someone from out of town buys it they must put improvements and actively seek out tenants not just let it sit waiting to flip thats what sad Im tired of out of towners who are greedy buying our real estate if it was owned by someone local it wouldnt be in distress

Dear Dr Bee
Although there aint allot of shops me being an African American I need certain items for my beauty regiment and I dont feel safe going too ruff areas. This mall is convenient. I work downtown run over on my breaks and get what I need from walgreens, Tess Beauty Supply and once a month I get my lashes done by Aysha. Thats all I need and I dont have to go into a ruff area to get it. The mall is safe. I only shop at Tess Beauty Supply for my Wigs. The few businesses down there give the best customer service. This mall is great for those of us who dont feel comfortable shopping in ruff areas. Being African American we need certain products Unfortunate these products are usually in Chinese stores in ruff areas. The mall is perfect safe place to get your black beauty products and beauty stuff when your a black women who likes nice things I refuse to go into the hood and worried about getting robbed. This mall is perfect for those of us who prefer quality over cheap deal

The shops of grand avenue are a lovely assortment. I visited GNC, TJ Maxx, Ayzha, La Delicatesse (I think), and the bookstore on the first floor. The bookstore had an excellent variety of new and used books - surpassed my expectations. Good quality, great collection, and reasonable prices there. Ayzha was a gem! The artwork blew me away and the jewelry was so unique I couldnt pass up taking a necklace home with me. Had a ham and Swiss croissant from the French food outlet (la Delicatesse I believe it was called) on the second floor. It was delicious and I highly recommend it. The shops were all clean and well kept. They also sell fresh fruit on the first floor! I was pleasantly surprised at that since most malls and shop collections only sell junk food.

On 3-21-15 (After noticing an more than usual am out of white folks walking through the mall for whatever reason. I wa s approached by one black (female) and one white (male) security officer who in turn accused me of loitering. Did not bother to even hear me say what I had to stay. The male security guard started to follow me out the mall after I confronted him about being behind me. He then said that he was not following me when he was. Ive been going to this Mall to buy various items for the past 15yrs and this is by far my worst experience. I actually made friends with one of the shop owners who Ive bought items from. Karim in Precision Jewerly. Other than Karim, Id say screw this mall.

Absolutely terrible and sad! Ive been going to this mall since I was a kid and theres nothing left of it. Just a gigantic empty mall. No good stores, just a couple shoe stores a nail salon, food court and Boston Store. Its really sad. They were going to close it a few years ago, which would be maybe the third time they considered it. Since its a downtown mall, you basically have to keep it. NEVER heard of a downtown without a mall, in ANY city! Tired of going there, but trying to show my age-old patronage. PLEASE HELP PUT MORE STORES BACK IN OUR MALL AND GET HER BACK ON HER FEET!

Used to a great place to work and shop, but it has gone down hill. I was working in Stone Creek after doing some shopping. I security guard came up to me and asked me to leave since I was in the same spot for longer than 30 minutes. I was not doing anything to disturb anyone and was sitting in a coffee shop. I asked him if he was serious, and he said I had to go. I called Guest Services, and they said they could not help me. I highly recommend that you stay away from this mall.

I Used to love this mall. Its not even a mall anymore. They have absolutely nothing in this place. I hear there will be updates and I hope they make it soon because this is sad. They are over priced for parking yet nothing really to Buy to get your parking validated. The security guys/gals are rude and have no life. The best part of about this place is the jingle bus in the winter for the kids.

This was billed as a bustling mall with lots of shops. It was really TJ Maxx and the Boston store anchoring an almost empty mall space. There are a good number of Mom & Pop businesses there, but the store fronts are mostly empty. My wife and I checked it out when in town for an event at the Bradley Center. It needs some new life as the building is structurally very appealing.

The only reason Ive really come to this mall was for the Jingle Bus during the Christmas season, as none of the shops are very good or interesting. Worse yet, most spaces are abandoned! Really looking forward to the new owners making better use of this space with the recently released plans including upper-floor offices and lower-level grocery and restaurant additions.
