Well having been let down by 3 other artists, one even taking a down payment and not having anything on paper, I went to Movong Shadow Ink walked in and talked to Mario told him my situation gave a deposit of $300, and scheduled an appointment. The day of the tattoo comes and I called and said I would probably be 15-20 mins late as I had a hang up selling my car. I get there at 15 mins after my tattoo appointment was to start and no Mario. The shop called him and he said he was running an hour late. Well 2pm comes I went to get something to eat and still no word from the shop 2:30 and no Mario. Finally at 2:55 I called and said I would like my money back and that I would go elsewhere for a tattoo. He was now suppose to be there in 20 mins and he would have my money. He had a migraine headache, yet could still see that he was active on FB during the time he was supposed to do my tattoo. I came in to get my deposit and the front guy gave me $50 less than my original downpayment. Granted he got it from Mario and had to ask him to tell Mario I gave him $300 not 250. I drove 950 miles for a tattoo, granted I ended up selling my car last minute while I was there so it wasnt a total, this guy has 0 customer service skills and frankly, his head is to big for his britches. While I cant speak on others behalfs I have heard this isnt the fist time he has pulled this. Come to think of it. His hourly, which I did accept is ridiculously high. People there are other tattoo shops in Milwaukee that have as good or better artists for almost half of what this guy charges. Ive been here a couple times. I got my snakebites done here and that experince was awesome she was nice and understanding that i was nervous and took her time with me. So when i went back to get my eyebrow done i was baffled that this was the same place.! The first time i went me and my dad had to show our IDs cause i was like 16 at the time. And that was it. So when i went back the second time they said No, i need my birth certificate too and they were being so rude about it... and i couldnt get peirced that day because of it which was a huge inconvenience. So we ended up going to a diffrent shop. And thats not all... i was thinking it was just a bad day for them so i called to ask for the price of a peircing i wanted. And i guess i wasnt pronouncing it correctly because the lady on the other end of the phone just bluntly said "well what the f**ck is that" and i was just blown away by the rudness. This was back sometime 2015 havent been there since. Im writing this now because i was looking for peircing shops and this one came up didnt even realize i could rate them...

I had the pleasure of starting my full arm sleeve with Mario this past Saturday. He is a very professional tattoo artest and artest alone. He made me feel very comfortable for the session and even had me help work on the design so it will end up being somthing bad ass and work well as a cohesive full arm sleeve. I have waited a long time to start this and I dont take my tattoos lightly so I searched for the best shop possible and found it. Good tattoos arent cheap and I know this. I am paying for somthing that is an investment in myself and I chose the best. Hands down best tattoo shop in Milwaukee and this part of the state. If you are serious in getting your art and understand what goes behind it check out moving shadow ink you will not be disappointed. I have been going here since Mario opened the shop with small humble beginnings. Mario looks for artists to push the the next generation of tattoo artists in Milwaukee to the best of thier talents. You pay for great art so expect to pay for an excellent tattoo. The shop has always been clean with friendly staff. The art is unique to Mikwaukee native Mario Z that hangs in the mini gallery. If you want a detailed piece it does take time to draw and prepare unlike TV where its cut n edited. Do not expect to walk in and have a huge back piece completed the same day. When you want quality you want it done right. They do take walk ins as well based on the size of the piece. The staff is busy but there is an off season too. Each artist sets their own schedule. Lexie is awesome with piercings too.

Moving Shadow is by far the best shop in milwaukee. Ive been going there for years to get work done. Every artist is amazing with their clients and incredibly respectful. I was amazed by the art on the walls and the talented work coming out of the shop. Mario did my back piece and always worked with me to give me exactly what I wanted. His talent is on another level and I cant imagine going to another artist. Ive already recomended several friends go in for work and they were all amazed. I would highly suggest checking this place out and youll ba customer for life.

Worst experience ever and Ill never ever going back there again! I had and appointment and was there 10min before and when Jon got there my surprise that he had another client at the same time, so unprofessional and disappointing and s big shame. This shop used to be the best one maybe two years ago but now Ill go to a real professional shop. He was clearly being racist and preferred to make the tattoo to another person.

Came here to get a back piece which John aka Jonxilla did and ended up with a super wishy washy tattoo for Extremely over priced. Was very rushed, freehanded some which made it uneven and overall had to get it redone by another artist and when I messaged him that it was way too expensive and that I wanted him to fix it up he stopped responding so would not recommend. Will not be coming back.

Shop is extremely clean and the artists are more talented than anyone else Ive seen. Love that their artwork is displayed throughout the shop. Ive gotten tattoos and piercings here and I havent been disappointed. The piercer went through the aftercare thoroughly and also gave me a card with the instructions as well. Ive had no problems with the piercing and my tattoos look FANTASTIC.

I recently had my nose piercing done here and I had a wonderful experience! The facility was very clean, organized, and they were very thorough with piercings and the healing/care of them. Likewise, the lady who pierced it (Lexie) was so sweet and understanding. I strongly recommend anyone who wants a piercing at an affordable cost, in a SUPER clean environment, with great staff!

Moving shadow ink is by far the best tattoo experience that I have ever had. The atmosphere of the waiting room is very welcoming and inviting and the quality of the art that is done there is through the roof. They have great customer service and they are very professional but also make you feel comfortable during your tattoo experience. I will definitely be back for more!
