Never again. I purchased a very expensive engagement ring that is poorly made and dirty. It’s poorly crafted because there are two diamonds in the setting that are touching one another, which was not part of the design and is considered poor workmanship. I’m told by a reputable jeweler that the smaller of the two stones eventually will break and have to be replaced. It can’t be fixed before then because the smaller diamond will have to be broken to remove it from its unusual setting. That’s unacceptable at any price, but especially the high price I paid. It’s still not clear what the dirt was. It was stubborn debris lodged between at least two of the diamonds that required a very time consuming cleaning by another jeweler. It looked like glue to me, but that cant be verified. A full description of the aggravating process for designing and making the ring would not fit in this review space. In brief, I paid to have a custom engagement ring designed, but after nearly two weeks of waiting, I received a wax prototype that was a copy of another ring that was already in the store and NOT what I requested. Delays, delays, broken promises, and more delays. The final delay was due to a two inch “snow storm” in Stevens Point where the “artist” is located. Customer service is atrocious. And the fees! I was actually charged $90 for an appraisal on a ring for which they had already charged me thousands! Are you kidding me? If you want an engagement ring that is unique, well-built, clean and will be a source of happiness and pride, go anywhere other than Studio Jewelers.

Horrible customer service. My husbands ring finger was swelling and irritating because they measured the ring too fit in the very begining. I mentioned it that the size would be too tight but the staff insisted its better to get smaller size. Since this is the first experince for us to purchase wedding band so we followed their "professional" opinion. After our wedding, my husband wore the ring for only one week and it was difficult to take the ring off, we went back the store and looked for help. A lady who worked their sprayed windex three times then we finally were able to take off the ring. "We are really sorry", she said. We had waited for almost another month to get the ring replaced. Honestly, I would not like a new ring at all. I would love to see my husband wearing the ring which has been prayed in front of god in our wedding. My husband got charged while he picked up the ring( they did not mention any extra charge when we second time there). I was not happy about that why we have to take the reponsibility of their mistake?? I would not need a new ring if they measured the size right in the first time. I called back and expected some further explanation and a chance to reverse the charge. The owner ignored my calls for two days and she called my request "unsual". Also, she said " why do you complain? we gave you a new ring!!" I could not accept any word from her mouth.

I went to Studio Jewelers after calling other jewelers in town trying for a hard-to-find item: a small, rose gold hoop earring. Other jewelers brushed me off (one even told me to go to a department store!), but Studio said they thought they could find one to order in their trade catalogs. I only said I MIGHT drop in, but the next day when I came, staff members had already searched in response to my call and had marked several possibilities in the catalogs. When none seemed right, they offered to construct the earring for me in time for the date I needed (five business days). The difficult earring was completed and beautifully made. The goldsmith, the staff members, and the woman who I believe was the owner were wonderful. The jewelry on display was gorgeous and original, and I plan to go back for shopping and possibly more made-to-order.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Studio Jewelers. Briefly, I bought a couple of items some time ago, and since they did not have one of them at the store, I looked it up in their catalogue and ordered it. However, they did not mention that their return policy does not accept items that were not present at the store at the time of purchase which means that anything not bought right off the shelf cannot be returned. So when I came back to return the item, they did not take it and told me it was my fault that I did not read the slip carefully. Additionally, be ready to pay at least twice as much as you would somewhere else. Also, friendliness is not something you should except at this place. I agree that the owner is difficult to deal with and can even be a little rigid and insulting. I do not feel like they appreciated me as a customer.

I bought my wedding ring at Studio Jewelers in 2004 and had a great experience then. In 2010 I had them reset several heirloom diamonds into a custom setting. The staff was great to work with and I have nothing but praise for my ring experience with Studio Jewelers. I get compliments on both my rings--they are so beautiful. On a side note, when I was picking up my ring in 2010 my husband brought in a chain with a broken clasp. Were not local to Madison (anymore) and the jeweler at our local Ohio mall told us the chain could not be repaired because it was only gold plate. Studio Jewelers took a look at the chain, said it was 18K, and promptly went ahead and fixed it. So friendly and helpful!! Highly recommended.

When I was in college I used to use any excuse I could get to go in to Studio Jewelers and look at all the beautiful engagement and wedding rings. They were always very nice to me and let me try a few things on even though I was obviously not buying at that time. Later on when I actually got engaged I knew where I wanted to go. I must have spent hours looking at rings on several occasions. Nobody ever rushed me and everyone was so nice and helpful. Whitney ended up working with my husband to desig a ring just for me with elements from several that I liked. I got my dream ring thanks to Studio Jewelers and I get compliments on it all the time!

Took in a custom ring I had made elsewhere to have it redone. I liked the stones, but the ring was kind of clunky. I was originally planning to take it back to where it was made, but I saw so many beautiful photos of very intricate jewelry on the Studio Jewelers website that I decided to take a chance and look for an artist with a more delicate touch. Chris was the artist at the store when I arrived, and he seemed to really understand what I wanted out of my ring. I just picked it up today and I love it. He finished within his estimated time frame and just under budget. I will definitely go back here if I need any more custom work.

Customer service is extremely poor. The store is exceedingly over-priced. Beautiful custom-made pieces can be found elsewhere with a much better customer service. Even though you pay a very high price for their jewelry, they are extremely rigid when it comes to customer service. I bought a VERY expensive "handmade" ring and it was too tight. They measured the size themselves in the same finger!! However, when I tried to get a different size, I was told that I had to pay an exorbitant additional amount of money!!! Horrible experience!! The owner is a very DIFFICULT person to deal with. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!.
