Took my platinum rings in here (wedding and engagement) to get resized and they came back soddered together at the resize lline with white gold. My wedding band also had a significant amount of damage. I took the rings in separately at different times so the white gold thing obviously isnt just happening to me. I didnt know my rings were damaged (besides the obvious mis shaping of my wedding band) until I took them to a local jeweler to get soddered together before our wedding. The local jeweler refused to touch my rings because of a significant amount of damage particularly to the wedding band (which I never wore until my wedding day). I also took it to another jeweler to get a second opinion about the damages and they concurred that the first jeweler was being honest. That the only way to fix these rings was to get them fully recasted. The district manager spoke with me (Jill) and assured me she would do whatever it took to gain my trust back to Helzberg. Even if that was getting my rings fixed somewhere else or buying me new rings all together. My husband and I decided we didnt want anyone from Helzberg touching our rings because we couldnt trust them. They begged us to send them in so their master jeweler could asses the damages. Finally we sent the rings in and I received an e-mail that asked me for an okay for their jeweler to move forward with the repairs. I told them the only way they will be repairing my rings is if they are recasting them, otherwise we are taking them elsewhere and they are paying for it like we had discussed prior with Jill. They refused to recast the rings and refused to pay for it to get fixed elsewhere, as I was promised by Jill. I then asked how long they can guarantee the repairs and they told me 1 year. 1 whole year to guarantee the repairs to my $10,000 rings that they messed up in the first place. Do not take your sentimental pieces here because they do careless work and cant even stand behind it. I will continue to spread the word so nobody else goes through what I did.

Ive definitely become a huge fan of Helzberg Diamonds in Onalaska! I stopped in last August looking for my wifes wedding band. I had gotten my wifes engagement ring from Rogers and Holland in the same mall, and was devastated that we kept having the same recurring problems with diamonds falling out - even losing one of the main rubies! After going to Rogers and Holland, and getting the same run-around, and seeing jewelers change in-and-out quicker than you could blink - I decided to take a chance at Helzberg, bracing myself to find something that would be totally out-of-reach. I was astounded that the truth was quite the opposite! When I came in, I was welcomed by Kathy (I think shes an Assistant Manager or one of the managers). Kathy took the time to listen to what I was looking for, help me find something that was beyond what my wife and I EVER even thought of, and, while it had a nice price tag with it, was totally within my means. We found/put together a 3-piece set for my wife that has a beautiful Ruby center-piece and filigree accents along the side of the diamond-accents that remind my wife and I of our parish where we got married every time we look at it. Its perfect! Helzberg Onalaska stands behind their work, forges relationships with their clients, best of all 9-months into our marriage and my wife has had NO PROBLEMS with the rings. Rogers and Holland - we had problems with that ring (now safely kept in a keepsake box) every 6-months or less. That says A LOT. I dont usually give perfect ratings because no one is perfect, but Helzberg Onalaska is pretty darn close in my opinion.

My sister and I were in the LaCrosse location about a week ago to look at engagement rings and the two associates that worked with us were very disappointing. My sister emphasized that she was not exclusively interested in having a diamond and instead of taking down her information and looking at what options are available (like the other stores in the mall), the associate kept pushing rings that were completely out of her price range and kept trying to pull her away from the gemstone options. In my case, I was looking at wedding bands when another associate offered to clean my new engagement ring. Upon returning it, she asked if I would upgrade my stone (I have a morganite that I hand selected with my fiance) because the color was "really pale" (again, I hand picked this stone and setting myself). We visited other stores in the mall and everyone else was very receptive to our price ranges and non-diamond interests. Not every ring needs a diamond to be meaningful and I highly recommend not asking someone if they want to upgrade their new engagement ring, no matter what you think of it. The comments were hurtful, extremely pushy and neither myself or my sister will be going back for jewelry.

Im not pointing at this store but Helzberg in general..... this is a place that will mess up over and over and wont get things fixed right or take way to long. Costumer service is a joke. I will never deal with Helzberg again. And I advise you to do the same dont waste you money with them you wil end up going through more headaches than you can imagine. A one star rating is tooooo much for this place.
