Horrible service, horrible store and horrible employees. I have had the worst run around in my life and it was from the Geek Squad. My hard drive crashed on my laptop so I had the extended warranty so I took it in, like any normal person would have done. So first I stood in line at the geek squad for over a 1/2 hour, while I watched employees doing nothing. When I finally got service the associate treated me like I was a total idiot, she spoke down to me, that should have been my first red flag that this experience wasnt going to go well. So I get a call about a week later saying the computer would cost more to fix then it was worth so I could come in and get a computer that was comparable to my laptop since that is what the warranty covered. So I go in and first it was my error that I didnt take in my receipt I admit that, but I guess I figured if Menards can recover a sales slip then Best Buy should be able to also, WRONG. So I go in by the geek squad and tell them who I am and explain that I received a phone call and what was said, so they go to look for my paperwork and they cant find it, they start looking then they are going to fill out new paperwork acting like complete mindless idiots, so I see the girl that helped me and I said ask her she waited on me, so eventually after at least 20 minutes or longer they find my paperwork. Then they tell me that my computer had been exchanged out the day before, I thought great they screwed me again. I explained that there is no way I could have made it to Eau Claire the day before because I had worked at 2 different jobs with only 1 1/2 hours in between and it takes at least an hour to get to Eau Claire. Well I dont know what happened but they gave me the slip to go onto the sales floor to get my new laptop, I then asked if they were able to retrieve my hard drive, you would of thought I asked them to do brain surgery when I got the deer in the headlights look at me. Since they couldnt find my receipt they tried to tell me I didnt pay for it, thank goodness she remembered me paying for it, well after about 1 1/2 more hours they still had no clue where my computer was, or if the hard drive had been retrieved so I said I would call back with my receipt number. So when I call with the number I am told by the same gal that waited on me, oh they found it, so my question they didnt inform me WHY? So my computer is finally located, it is at the Gateway recovery store, and they will pay to have Gateway retrieve my hard drive since it is more expensive and they realized it was their ERROR not mine. So one week later I get a call from Gateway giving me an estimate on what it would cost, so I call Best Buy in Eau Claire to find out what the hell is going on, well lets put it this way after 45 minutes of being on the phone and put on hold I got frustrated, got the Store managers name and I will call him, if I dont get anywhere with him I will go to his supervisor, I will go all the way to the CEO of Best Buy if I have to, to get the truth. But I know from now on I will go to either Office Max or Staples I will no longer ever shop at Best Buy again.

I would have to say that the Geek Squad custumer service needs to get some education on HOW TO GIVE BETTER customer service. I had bought a Espon printer from them with the 2year extended warrently. I brought it in to get it fixed and one of the Geek squad said that I could pick a new printer for the warrenty coverd for it. My printer was alittle over $100 and so I clearly asked if I could buy a printer for less and then buy assecitory to add up to what my printer was. HE clearly said YES and then with confirmation by two other sales man as will. I then checked out and my printer was on sale for $69.99 and I bought some printing paper as will. It total up to $100. I ended up paying $45 dollars more. I didnt even get the full amount of the first printer. They only credited me for the new printer and had me pay for the other items. I then asked why he told me diffenent and all he said was that he didnt understand me. The Geek Squad was very rude to me and said that he never said that and that he didnt and doesnt understand what I was saying to him. As a Asian person that was VERY VERY rude. I was so mordafide that he said that to me in front of other sales person as will as other customers. He didnt even give me an apology for the miscommunication he was very disrespectful to me. For one thing I was born in the United States and spoke very clear english. I was very offended. Will never do bussiness with them again. Be Aware of what they say. MAKE SURE THEY UNDERSTAND YOU!!!!!

My wife and I bought $2,200 in appliances. One of these items was a microwave that needed installation. We paid for the installation and as it turned out, they could not do it because the person they contracted was not a licensed electrician. The long and the short of it is that Best Buy stated the person would be able to do the work we requested and subsequently he could not. From that point Best Buy did refund our money, but the managers avoided us because of our anger over the situation and especially the money we had just spent. Best Buy management refused to apologize; which was all we were looking for and eventually issued us a gift card (from a sales associate) because management would not discuss the issue. The gift card was to cover the "restocking" fee they charged us for returning the microwave they could not install that they promised they could in the first place. It is interesting that FS Appliance and TV (sad to say going out of business) was able to fulfill our request and get a microwave we purchased from them installed less than a week later. We paid over $100 more, but it was worth it. This just goes to show you whether you spend $20 or $2,000, Best Buy doesnt care one ounce about you once your money is in the till.

Went to buy a washer and dryer. Waled up to the Appliances desk where there was a associate working. Told him that i wanted to buy a washer and dryer and that I knew which one i wanted. His response " Were busy and Im in the middle of something so I cant help you. You need to find Joy..." yeah, cause I would know where and how to find Joy. Yeah usually as a customer service associate "I CANT HELP YOU" is not what you wanna tell a customer after all, youre kinda there to help.... Dude procedes to call joy, says shes busy too. so its gonna be a while.... awkward silence.... so i said " alright, Ill go wait by the washer and dryer then." 20 some minutes later, still nothing.... more associates walking by, none asked if i needed anything or help... so i just keep standing there. call the wife and started to leave the store... I said outloud " WELL, they dont want to help me, SO ILL JUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE." BOOM! halfway out, someone starts chasing me saying " Excuse me sir, was there something i can help you with?" um, no its a little too late... ill take my $1000 somewhere else.
