This review is specifically for their wireless portion. I went in on a Monday to port a number to a new phone, and the guy there was super friendly, very nice fellow but I didnt have all the information I needed at the time so I said Id just come back in another day. Went back in today, said I need to activate a new Verizon phone and port a number from my old one. The guy - a big fellow with a long beard - looks at me disdainfully and asks where I bought the phone. I said, online (on Monday, this hadnt been a problem). He says We dont do that unless you buy it here. My god, the place was empty. Clearly he was too busy to not be a jerk. See, thing is, I cant type demeanor online. I understand that places have policies, but there are right ways to deliver it. Like Im sorry, we cant do that because you didnt buy it here but there are lots of guides online, for instance, would have been awesome. But this guy was a DICK. I mean, I can count on one hand the number of times Ive been treated like that. Compounded on that Im on a new medication which makes my emotions volatile so I got to go out to my car afterwards and bawl. I will /NEVER EVER/ in my life EVER use that wireless place again. Seriously, phones break and if the guy had been the nice guy I would have gotten a replacement there. Now? No. Not if the bastard might be there. Hes like... customer service kryptonite. They should seriously implement oversight for customer service. The one guy from Monday should get an award, the other should be given remedial lessons on how to not be a bastard to potential customers.

Hated it, I felt like it had less items than my hometown wallmart i Spent over a hundred dollars there and felt like I was spending much. I lived quite a ways away so i was just passing through town. Later discovering my receipt i was over charged $50. The girl checking me out screwd up all my quantities on my receipt and under chared and over charged me on some items which that balanced out in price and just messed up there counts. But, What got me that I was over charged for one remote control car that costs 9.95 and they charged me for 6 when I had only bought one. Im alittle irratated cus I live out of town clear in a different city. Not only that I called once to let them know and talked to a sweat lady, but no note was left for the people later on in the day about this error and I was told by the night shift that I may or may not get my money back. Really ? $50 dollars is alot of money look back on your cameras or atleast go check your inventory Im pretty sure you have more than your systems says it does.

Im not going to be as harsh as everyone else here, but I am thoroughly unimpressed. When I walk into a Walmart, my expectations are fairly low to begin with, but this Walmart is really not even trying. After a couple visits at the new building, I wont be back. While the employees are friendly, the layout is a joke. And good luck trying to get to the Photo Center. It has been combined with Customer Service, so if you want to fight your way through the long line of people waiting to return stuff, good luck. Its a very poor arrangement. The aisles throughout the store have lots of dead-ends, making it tough to get anywhere. Its dimly lit and the signage is even more lacking than it was in the old store. I would skip this store and shop somewhere else.

I live about a 15 minute drive away. I called in to ask a question and the first agent denied helping me and when asked to speak to someone that can he placed me on hold for about 10 mins before I disconnected the line and starting driving to the store. I placed a call on my way there. I arrived at the store, did not find the item I needed left the store and made it back home before an agent was finally able to tell me they didnt have the product. Typical Walmart service. Sub par. Now I know next time its literally faster to drive and check the shelves myself than to call and ask any of the unwilling customer service agents employed here. Walmart should pay me a wage for doing their own job.

Walmart was the place to go for everything. Now trying to find help with getting anything is next to impossible at this location. For the five trips iv gone to this store iv waited for at least 30 mins every trip I gone there for ammo. The trip today I waited about an hour and no one came even after talking to two worker and I even called the store and asked for help. All three times I heard the call for help to sporting goods but for what ever the reason I still waited. So instead of Finnish my shopping for the gathering Im having tonight I walked out and went hyvee instead. Were I spent more money but it was worth it. My time is worth money as well.

Its Walmart, you know what youre getting into when you walk in the door. Generally I dont spend much time here and the items are always pretty easy to find. I think its interesting how the first picture on here is of the OLD Iowa City Walmart– it really brings me back! I cannot believe that the Walmart here used to look like that– and not too long ago either! The only particularly bad thing about this Walmart is that things tend to get pretty funky late at night (as with a lot of Walmarts, Im sure).

I work nights so the only time I ever shop here is when I need something and every other store is closed. Putting aside the myriad of socio-economic despair this retailer perpetuates in every community in america, they are ALWAYS out of stock or dont carry what I am in desperate need of. Its also pretty telling how people would rather wait in line to check themselves out than have some insipid dullard check them out. The ways in which this place utterly sucks is mind boggling.

The store is pretty clean but the experience isnt great when you have to interact with people. The employees are too busy most of the time to help you and take forever to find help. Rarely are there enough checkouts open. The staff are not professional mostly young, unintelligent, and immature. And honestly, the people that shop there most of the problem: loud and crazy, driving around on carts when they dont need to, complaining.

If you are going to have the van redemption machines make sure they work. This store had a while wall of then and not even half of them worked. Plus they wont except a lot of stuff they sell there which is crazy. Ill stick to the one in my town at least it is ran by humans and not machines. Overall the rest of the store was nice even tho they are in the middle of a remodel.

Staff meeting happening in the middle of the electronics department at 9:30am...really? Girl in electronics was eating while taking to me and acted like I was bothering her... disgusting! Girl at check out, no smile, zero enthusiasm, zero personality. All these people are numb to human courtesy & kindness.
