I was looking for a good shop to have some work done on my bike and this place came highly recommended. I needed a tune up, new front tire and was going to swap out my bars. After a few weeks I called to find out that we were waiting on my bars. The next week Brian calls and said these might not be what I wanted but since I was sick I had to wait a week to go test them. Once I went in, I agreed with his assessment and he had a second set of bars ready to go which was great. He took some measurements, said he had to order some risers and then possibly new cables and all was good, so I thought. Two weeks later I called and he told me he was waiting on parts but they’ll be there Tuesday. I asked if he had completed the other work and he told me he was waiting to do everything at once. A week later when I called, same story so I asked him to call me when the part came in which he assured me he would do. Two weeks later I called and I got another song and dance about how he didn’t realize the risers didn’t come with a part but once he got that in all he would need to do is order the cables which only take a day to get there. Again, I asked him to call me which he reassured me he would do. Long story short….he never called me with any status updates or issues he supposedly faced. About four months after dropping the bike off to him, I called to ask, yet again and this time he tells me he can’t do the bars, it’s costing him too much money, he’s going to have to order custom cables. Funny thing is I took it to another shop and was able to get new bars, risers, grips for a reasonable price and funny thing…no custom cables required. So I guess if you want horrible customer service and don’t mind being lied to constantly then this is a great place to go. I’d rather take my business somewhere that actually delivers on the services agreed upon in a timely and reasonable manner.

Paid for a tune up. Was told it would take a day. 2 days later I call and Brian says its still not done. A day after, he calls and says the carbs need cleaned. I reluctantly told them to get started on it which totally sucks, not their fault that my carbs need cleaned. But after that point, the communication REALLY suffered. I called a couple times and Brian told me it would be done and running two separate times but when I called again and eventually came in, more problems arose and the bike was still not running. I was pretty mad. I got mad at Brian. I thought Id be dropping over a grand on something I couldnt ride away. I went in to pay and he only charged me just over a third of the original quote. Was not expecting that. He explained that he made me a promise he couldnt keep and that they credited me the carb cleaning and syncing. He also told me the fuel pump still needed servicing and it wouldnt run. But low and behold, its running. So I dunno what the deal is there but all I care about is I got a reasonable price. However Im not going back and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Worst experience ever!!! My bike would turn over but not fire, I had tested the fuel pump and the spark and it was fine so now I had to turn to the "pros" to get it going. I never received as much as a phone call from the shop detailing what they had found or what they planned on doing. I had to call and check up on the shop every month or so, after my bike was in the "shop" for over a year I decided to take it back, they obviously werent going to work on it. When asked why they had performed so poorly in the customer service department. The guy behind the desk said " oh, it looks like you need new wiring installed and they must not have called you". He really didnt care whether or not he got the business nor did he apologize for their crappy service. In my opinion this was the worst experience I could have imagined. I feel like these guys put off the work because they did not want to do the hard work and they are just a simple tune up and tire shop. Do not do business with this shop, they will promise you the work will get done and end up sticking the job on the back shelf!

2 Waverunner jet skis were worked on at Hoodview. Unfortunately this is where previous owner had work done (still under warranty). Skis were returned to me with stripped head bolts on 2 occasions, not disclosed, and theres no way the mechanic could not have known. Nothing was said. Customer service is lacking, took 5+ months to complete the quoted 45 day job. "Repaired" skis still had issues and upon investigation we found: 1 head bolt missing, 2 stripped head studs, 6 header bolts not tightened (one inserted only 2 threads), oil lines disconnected, 2 oil hose clamps loose, several missing other bolts AND loose flywheel inside the engine that Hoodview installed! Never again will Hoodview work on my equipment!

Talked to Brian, who was arrogant and hung up on me twice, simply because I asked who handles their marketing. I work with two of their neighboring businesses and was calling to help them appear better on Google and offer to stop by when I am in the area next. Brian was extremely unprofessional and rude. I would never do business with a company who cant even kindly say "thanks but no thanks" to a call from someone who has lived in the Vancouver area for over 20 years. A quick nasty attitude on the phone can really turn into a nasty review of your businesses professionalism and I would highly recommend people in the area who seek services like yours to keep looking and not walk through your door. ~Cheers!

Stopped in today after a frustrating experience with a different powersport store. Chris at Hoodview Performance was real patient and helped me sift through their supplier catalogs for some riding gear. Ordered me up some pants and gloves, and didnt give me any up-sale runarounds. Friendly, honest, reasonable and knowledgeable. No shady salesman etiquette here! Good first impression. I look forward to checking out their performance and paint services in the future!

Terrible! Complete lack of communication! Dropped my bike off May 20th 2014 for " No Spark " issue. I ended up calling every 2 weeks to check status. No one ever called me back! Always the same script " waiting for parts"! Finally after 3 months they did call ne back to tell me they could NOT figure it out! Supposedly some mystery part no longer available!!!! I would highly recommend going elsewhere.
