You dont even deserve that one star!- while waiting for an appointment I decided to drive to Wal-Mart to pick up my money order then I was going to take my daughter to Barnes and Nobles. she was super excited. I decided to park in between the two establishments(my dog is annoying and one window wont roll up) and wait an hour and still they open while doing so my daughter watched her Kindle and I might have dozed off. out of nowhere a woman knocked on my open window causing my dog to bark saying I was sleeping in her parking lot and needed to go because I was on private property. I informed the lady that I was waiting for the stores to open. She then informed me that she already called the police. (Racial profiling anyone?) After 10 minutes she came back to the car and said I was littering all over her establishment and to get off her private property which was Barnes and Nobles. I informed her that I was not littering. She said Im calling 911 again and walked off. I happily greeted the police and he informs me that I was not in trouble and the woman said that I was sleeping in my car. After talking to the nice officer he then assisted me with my broken window and I assured him I would never ever go to this Barnes and Nobles and my daughter was sad. They just lost a customer forever and we went to Wal-Mart and picked out a good book. The way that woman was so determined to get us out was so strange. That big girl needed that walk to and from my car lol. Dont ever go to this place... especially black people!!! :-)

CONSUMER WARNING: this predatory bookstore deserves to go out of business. Until that point (and lets hope it happens soon), avoid this place like the plague. The exterior of the place looks pretty dated. The B&N where I come from is way nicer, this place is made of grotesque cinderblocks. But that is not a deal breaker obviously. I had the most awful customer experience inside. Searching around online, I saw a nice HTML/CSS coding book online that normally retails for $29.99. I found that Barnes and Noble was having a sale for this book at $19 and they even had a bundle of this book with another one that I wanted online at B&N website for $33.75. It was a competitive price--otherwise I would have gone to Amazon. And if I wanted it tonight, I could pick it up from their nearby store, right? WRONG. I did what any motivated customer would do, I grabbed my wallet, drove 25 min to B&N, grabbed my book, and at checkout the clerk asked for $71.65. My heart skipped a beat. Was she serious? That is literally double the listed price online. I mentioned the online sale and even showed the clerk the listing online. NOPE. THE PRICES LISTED ONLINE ARE NOT VALID IN STORE. Its a clear bait and switch operation--totally illegal. I have drafted a complaint with the FTC and Im posting this review as a warning to others before they make the same mistake. Nowhere on the mobile website does it mention that the advertised prices wont be honored. BEWARE: THEY DONT MATCH ONLINE PRICES.

I went there on a Saturday afternoon and purchased a nook charger during the transaction the theft alarm went off as someone was leaving. my cashier stopped what he was doing to go over and help that customer while the guy already swiped my card . The guy came back over and proceeded to ask for the card again without my knowledge and charged me twice. the way i found out was on my online banking transactions. I am very upset because I live in OR. and it was in WA, and the employee was careless and shouldnt have stopped what he was doing to help someone during another transaction.

I love book stores so of course when I saw this place I had to walk in. Despite its size, they had EVERYTHING! They had books I couldnt find online or in big bookstores on the east coast (specifically Zamyatins We). I spent a good while looking at their collection and reading the staff recommendations but sadly, I didnt buy anything. This place is too rich for my blood but its a fantastic place to look for books to read.

Waited more than 5 minutes at an empty customer service desk. Came back about 10 minutes later when it was staffed, but the employee was too involved with a personal chat to help me before she walked away again. The book I wanted was listed as in-stock on the website, but I didnt find it where it should have been alphabetically in any of the reasonable sections.

Love the starbucks cheesecake factory thing they have going on! Another business that has been around FOREVER, this place has books on (almost) everything. If you cant find it here or on their site, chance is pretty good you are looking for something VERY specialty and you knew it was going to be a gamble trying to find it anyway.

Service was intimidating/unpleasant. When I asked a question about a book I was looking for, I got a response of Annoyance (I was keeping them from what they wanted to be doing) and Judgement (as if they didnt approve of or my choice was beneath them). Now, Id rather drive to Portland than go through that experience again.

I usually enjoy shopping here but today they refused my BN Groupon coupon because it was on my phone screen and not printed. Coupon clearly states to just show phone screen containing the groupon code and pin. Wasted an hour of driving to support the local store instead of ordering online.

A great place to have a Starbucks and read. Very good selection of books and magazines. The only downside is when someone brings in a screaming kid but that can happen anywhere. Lets hope that ebooks dont cause the closure of this fine establishment.

Love coming to this place to hunt for vinyl figures and when they new ones coming out that are exclusive to this store they always have it in on time and great people and staff to be around and great helpers to find what your looking for!

They have board games and Legos in addition to books. This is no Powells but they have a good selection and stay out of your way while shopping. The cafe is a quasi-starbucks that doesnt take Starbucks cards.

Always love this place. Like to bring the kids and browse books to find the next great read. Clean, quiet and an awesome selection. Cozy environment and coffee available, doesnt get much better than that.

The service is horrible! They dont care for their customers. I had to search for a long time for someone to help me. When they did help, it looked as though they had somewhere else better to be.

Good selection, but their selection of books shows a good-size bias against spiritual open-mindedness. In other words, they dont carry a lot of spititual material, it is largely atheist titles.
