In a world where book stores are slowly disappearing other than Amazon which is oddly enough looking to open book stores it is nice to have a big catch all kind of store. I admit I am not the biggest book person in the world but even I can appreciate a quality book store that has multiple stories and just about every type of reading material can imagine. I dont really care for the whole Nook thing but other than that its cool that they have probably every magazine in existence and other book related items instead of just books. They also have a small Cafe which I guess is nice if you plan on staying here and read for a while. Ill mainly come in to pick up books for my wife and kid and sometimes Ill find something that interest me too. I do kind of wish that they stocked comic books though that would be cool I like the setup though and everything is very well organized clean and easy to sort through. As far as Behemoth companies go Barnes & Noble is a very Worthy store chain to have in existence

I am a little biased because I am really hating that they relocated to Bridgeport Village. When you walk inside of the Barnes and Noble on Bridgeport, you can tell immediately they are not catering to people who want to go in and find a book and read. They really are pressing that Nook (which obviously isnt doing well). I think they had a better shot at success with their old location at Washington Square and if they felt the need to move, maybe just move closer into Washington Square mall or something. I much preferred it over at the old location and at this location, aside from people browsing through while waiting for a movie, Im not sure this new location gets as much traffic or sales. This seems to be another Borders shutdown in the making.

Very nice establishment. They have free WiFi and a Nook station for Nook users. Additional books and kids stuff is located on the second floor. Cafe is located on the first floor. Overall it is clean and the noise level is normal for relaxing and/or reading satisfaction.

Very helpful carries everything you need. Turned down the membership they sell (like Costco) the cashier was sweet but kept pushing until I finally just gave my email. Really didnt want to give that either but I felt awkward. Oh well. Great bookstore anyway!

I call and ask them to put books on hold for me so I can pick them up on my lunch break at work and I am always patched through to someone very quickly, they are always happy and helpful, I can get in and out in a flash and they have a fantastic selection

Very clean cut looking store which is uncommon for book stores. This is why Powells is doing so much better while Barnes and Noble closes location after location.

Very helpful staff, fantastic selection. Staff always come bearing wonderful new book suggestions, and are wonderful time and time again. Great experience here.

Nice, quiet seating areas for reading and enjoying a drink from the Café. Also has tables outside. They have a good selection of journals as well.
