My TV went on the fritz with an intermittent problem, so I took it to A1 to have them look at it. I waited a week and they finally looked at it and told me that the problem was *probably* the t-con board. Its a common problem for Samsung TVs like mine, a fairly safe bet for them. So they ordered a replacement which arrived a week later, at which point I was told that they had ordered the wrong thing because it "looked the same." It turns out the t-con board for my TV wasnt being manufactured anymore so they needed to order a used one. They did that, a week later they received it and found the one they received was bad. Its a part thats known to go bad, it was used, so okay, a little bad luck and they ordered another one. Another week and that one arrived, they installed it and called me to tell me everything was ready. "Great!" I thought. The only problem was I was out of town for a family emergency and asked them if they could store my TV for a few days until I returned. Their response was "Not really. Were very busy and you need to have someone come pick it up." So they have my TV for a month, one week of that due to their screw up, finally get it done and they cant even store it for a few days. Fine, whatever, I was looking forward to having a working TV again so I sent my father to pick it up. I get home a week later and finally get to use my newly fixed TV. I turn it on and the very first thing it does is exhibit the same problem I took it in for. So it took a month and $200 to be back in the exact same spot, a broken TV and no idea whats wrong. At that point I was done with A1, it was an awful experience. They guessed at what was wrong, charged me a bunch of money, and couldnt do the smallest thing to help me out (i.e. storing the TV for a few days). Id look elsewhere if you have any problems with your TV.

These guys are simply amazing. Our Phillips Flat screen was having problems. Dan came out and gave it a look. After duscussing with us as to what is going on...we decided it needed to go into the shop to fix. As it was our only TV that was disappointing...but he then gave us a couple of offers on sets he had in the shop. He offered another one of similar size for a great price...but when we got ours back we would have no room for both. The smaller one he then offered turned out to be a great deal...but since his shop was closed...we would be without until the morning. I lamented that I could not just follow him to his shop and buy...he said he normally would do that..but he had another call. He offered to call me after that and come meet me and let me grab the other TV. That worked out great. Plus...we both talked about our joint interest in Sci-Fi and games....probably a little longer than we should...but that is what fans do...especially me. :) I would not hesitate to use his services again...and highly recommend him to anyone who need TV and related stuff worked on. I know I will.

On 29 December, I called A-1. The proprietor could not fix my TV,so he took it to his shop. He promised to call when he had an estimate for the repair. After a week of no call, I called him; he stalled. Later when I called he estimated repair would be $200 to $300, but he gave me no date for delivery. Next time I called the estimate had gone to $300 to $400; no date given. I was out of town for over a week. On 16 January he said it was ready, but I was still out of town. On 21 January he delivered the TV but the repair bill was for $500; he claimed he had told me the higher estimate, but he had not. All through this process,I got the feeling he didnt have adequate help, so he just kept stalling. I would never go back and would inform others, of his poor performance and overcharge. The total I paid was $664.89.

I had called A-1 TV to see if they could help diagnose a problem with my big screen TV. At first I thought it just a lamp issue. It turned out to be an overheating problem common in that year and brand of TV. It would have been an expensive fix, and my TV was only a couple years old. Dan the owner and his co-worker Galen put me in touch with the manufacturer to see if they would do part of the repair for this" known defect.". As it turned out they did! I really appreciated Dans helpfulness and his product knowledge. When Galen came to my home to re-install the TV, he was polite and punctual. Their rates were fair and reasonable. I highly recommend A-1 TV.

I worked with Dan for several weeks trying to troubleshoot a complicated picture problem with my TV. Long story short, Dan was persistent, honest, fair, and responsive during the whole process. Although it turned out the issue was too expensive to fix, he then gave me a very fair deal on a rehabbed TV and a one-year warranty on labor. Overall, it felt like we were on the same team working through my TV problem. I highly recommend Dan and his shop. Fair and honest businesses out there, and Dans shop is one of them.

I called to find out if my old TV was worth fixing. Even though I explained everything, he had no idea what could possibly be wrong and I couldnt get a quote over the phone. He said that if it was a major problem, it could be more than a couple hundred dollars to fix. Theres no way I would pay that much to fix it. Its an old TV that Id rather throw away than pay that kinda money for. Its barely even worth the service fee and that wouldnt even repair it. What a joke.

I have a Pioneer 52 flatscreen TV that needed servicing...not a lamp problem and we could not figure out what was wrong. Dan the owner came out and was able to fix it the same day. I so appreciated his help, because I was entertaining that evening. He was kind enouigh to put the service fee towards the repair of my TV and the price was so reasonable. I would recommend them all day long.

Dan at A1 is awesome. He replaced my bulb on my my Mitsubishi DLP...the bulb went bad and he replaced it no charge. I have had other issues with the TV since then and he is always very helpful over the phone...even helping me update the software at no charge. He stands behind his work and helps his customers out. I wouldnt go anywhere else for TV advice or repair.

Very pleased with the service we received. Our Samsung Plasma went out, and Dan came out the next day, took the boards that needed fixed, and brought them back fixed within 48hrs. Nice to have a place that you can call that you dont have to go through an 800 service. Highly recommend if you ever have a problem with your TV, give Dan a call.
