My experience theyve refused to haggle at all. If youre looking for something neat to blow extra cash on or something very specific and dont want to pay retail like a computer or something then go ahead and give it a try. But if you know what you want and dont need it this very moment then I highly suggest also checking out other pawn shops in town...theres even a few on 82nd just down the street. Or also craigslist. My story, I bought a guitar. Didnt need to be fancy or even nice. Just something really cheap to see if its a hobby I wanted to pursue. They sold me a cheap one for $70. Its wasnt a great deal, turns out it was pretty cruddy but hey it was only $70. I go home and after about a month playing around with it I decide that yeah it was something I wanted to learn so decided to sell the cheap guitar back and buy a more expensive decent guitar. I walk in with the guitar and they quickly help me and offer me $20. Well this WAS a pawn shop and knowing you can probably talk them up I asked if they could go $25. Didnt even really care but hell I knew they were going to sell it for at least $50 but more likely about $70 since it was in EXACTLY the same condition I bought it in. Nope. They wouldnt move an inch off of $20. I mean I took the offer, wasnt a lot of money to me or anything and just didnt have the room for 2 guitars. But just felt like I had been taken advantage of. Like I said theres a LOT of pawn shops in the neighborhood (youre on the internet now, just look them up and give them a try) and because of that I dont really think Ill ever be coming back. Their greed made them $50 bucks off me but lost a customer.

I have been in the store over a dozen times in the past 10 years, maybe more, and never once found them to be rude or inpatient in fact spending ALL the time needed with each customer and their (my) stupid questions. Ive called three or four times scouting for pc junk or handheld games for my kids, and theyve always been fine. The store is AMAZINGLY well organized by any retail standard, and is not in disarray at all. Everything is organized, clearly marked, priced etc. and they have all sorts of cool stuff - its like a mini Frys (real mini). For those that say its overpriced, then Id tell you that if youre looking for somewhere to walk in and pick it up, its not bad at all, and much less than "new" (assuming you could find "it" as new) , . and they guarantee stuff works/tested or you can return it. If you can wait and scout for the cheapest stuff on Ebay then sure youll save money.

Very Rude employees, just to see for myself if the reviews were accurate. I brought in my 14k gold necklace and played dumb to see if they would be honest, I asked if it was real gold and if it was how much they would offer me for it. The guy took it and brought it in the back to check it out after about 10 min he returned and told me that it was costume jewelry and it wasnt real gold, he said they usually wouldnt buy anything like that but he could offer me $20 for it and maybe they could sell it to someone looking for costume jewelry. $20? Really, I paid $3500 for it and he was lying saying it wasnt real but still wanted to buy it anyways. Be warned they are legal Con Artists that work here. I will never do business with shady people like the ones at ilikestuff.

Not sure why anybody would put a negative comment about this place. All of the staff is very helpful and when I have called on the phone they have given me specific information and always lead me down the right path. Its important to remember that this is a second hand store and all of their stuff is used so the buyer beware light should be shining brightly and everyone who enters, but, I got a $500 receiver amplifier for 100 bucks, I got some great tall floor speakers worth about $700 for $200 and they always seem to have the hard to find items. And as an added bonus once you find your cool stuff in their store you can walk across the street and have a nice sugary donut at Krispy Kreme

Been to most of the pawn shops in Portland & this one is by far the worst. I called and asked them if they buy GPS units because I needed a little gas money, told them the model (high end Garmin) and they said as long as I had the mount and charger then they would definitely take it. Got there with mount and charger in hand and they said they would give me a dollar...also brought in a almost brand new Dyson 800.00 Vacuum and they tried telling me that they go for 20 bucks on EBay! 20.00 on EBay for a Dyson? These dudes are a joke and well do nothing but waste your time. They sell Fake broke garbage and dont expect any sympathy when you try and return the broke garbage they sell you.

You start talking about local pawn shops, you are opening up a Pandoras can of worms you might regret at last years corporate Christmas party. Any one have any interesting stories? The dark side of these kind of places is the attitude of the employees. You know that guy. Seems to think he is some sort of ultimate Badass. But you dont get that at stuff. Those guys seem to sincerely care. Or do a great job of faking it. Im a writing the review and I am saying genuine human warmth. A++++ Highly recommended

The WORST PAWN SHOP EVER. They never buy anything and never have a reason why. He told me I needed a receipt for an iPhone 6s that I bought two years ago!!!!! Just to prove I bought it. WTF I BOUGHT THE PHONE YEARS AGO!!!! Scams and rip people off. They lie to you and hey are racist. I would never recommend someone going there ever. Im sitting in this parking lot in discuss wondering how they have stuff in this store when they say no to everything.HOW DO YOU SAY NO TO AN IPHONE 6s AT A PAWN SHOP!!!!!

Well I sold them a computer and they gave me $75 for it and I asked for $150 and he guy told me that my computer is no more than a beefed up office computer when I clearly spent at least $500 on it a few years back as a gaming computer and the guy also told me hes not gonna get more than $150 for it and I called and went in to ask about that computer and they are selling it for $449.99 they are completely scammers and they rip you off for your money

Purchased an item from them and very shortly afterward, brought it in to trade out for a different item. They claimed the item I purchased from them was defective and that they would offer no credit for my purchase and refused to buy it back at any price. Therefore, they knowingly sold a defective item as it was in exactly the same condition from when I purchased it. Beware, they play win/lose. They win/you lose.
