I just have to reply to the Google user who commented 7 years ago giving a 1 star rating. You say "either he knows every book on the shelves or he is just bigoted and rude." Ive been going into Culpepper books for the last 14 years, and I can assure you that Jerry knows every book on his shelves. Take your bigoted and rude review down. Then go into the store and be amazed. Tacoma Book Center and Kings Books are good places and very big, but neither of them can rival Culpepper Books for selection and quality. And you are missing out unless you sit and have a cup of coffee and a conversation with the owner. Ive sold books there and Ive bought books there. Ive also played chess, made friends and debated important topics there. It is the best bookstore Ive ever been in.

This was the best used bookstore I have ever been in. Not only were the staff able to answer all my questions, but they made sure that I was led in the right direction to find what I was looking for. Integrity is rarely found these days, but not at Culpepper Books

I called to ask about a book and the man on the phone was dismissive and rude. Without checking his stocks, he informed me that he did not have the book I sought. Either he knows every book on every one of his shelves, or he is just bigoted and judgemental!
