I purchased a hammer and they delivered the wrong one, I sent it back with the delivery driver and had to make a trip to town to pick up the right hammer the next day and had to pay an additional $11. When I went to use it for the very first time, it broke right off at the head. I called and talked to John at the Arlington store and he told me in a condescending tone "Its not a pry bar". He never would have spoken to a man that way. I was angered and called the Snohomish store where I had placed my order. The manager there was very helpful and arranged for me to pick up another hammer. When I went to get it John tried to charge me another $10, which would have been about a $50 hammer. His attitude was no better today than it had been towrads me the day before. I will NEVER go to that store again. Nothing about my experience was good at the Arlington Chinook Lumber Store. Also the wood is full of knots and fairly green.

The Store manager at the highway 9 store does not give a damn about service or customers. I ordered lumber that was delivered but was warped and cracked, so I rejected it. Since then (3 weeks) I have been trying to get in contact with Rob, the store manager, and he will not return my messages or calls. I have left messages with Lisa and Larry, have gone to their store once after not getting a call back just to be told that Rob is in a meeting and they cant help me. They still have my money so I will start the charge back process. I would love to support local business, but having a store manager that does not return calls after leaving 4 messages just plain sound ridiculous. My business will go with Dunn Lumber, Manuel Barquin

Sure glad I found this store. I needed to build a small barn with some special requirements for building materials for which I had no experience. The staff here was most expert and helpful. And they stocked some materials that are apparently not generally stocked elsewhere (certainly not the big box stores).
