Decided I wanted high quality wood for a special project and this was the first time Id used Issaquah Cedar & Lumber. I had heard their prices were high and I expected high quality lumber for the price which I was willing to pay. Very helpful when ordering the wood during which I had asked about returning excess lumber and was told I could but there would be a restocking fee which I was okay with. However, when I went to return some of the wood I was told because it was "custom milled" they would not take it back (this had not been explained to me when Id ordered the wood). Also, several pieces had checks and splits which I would not have expected from high quality lumber. They were not willing to offer up any kind of alternative solution to help make the situation "right". Drove away disappointed and likely will not use them again.

SERIOUS BUYER BEWARE HERE! These guys over charged me and did not even consider making it right. When I ordered material, they gave me a quote, and when they called to tell me it was ready, they gave me the same amount, BUT once I was there to pick up the material, they raised the price on me. When I pointed it out to the guy helping me.....twice, he did nothing to correct it. Just handed me my receipt as if it was normal. As a contractor, I based my bid off their quote, so I get to eat the over charge!! Buyer Beware of this company.

A woodworkers dream. So much good quality cedar and fir. And the Slabs. Oh man, the Slabs are like art work. Its funny, talked to the guy, the slabs are more "commissioned" pieces from different mills around the area. They kind of are held at the store and sold with a commission fee back to the store, a lot like how an art gallery works. I thinks its an awesome business model, and shows the great relationship they got with local mills.
