I have gone to Banfield in the past out of state and was happy with the service, but i have been to Banfield on Aurora a phew times since i moved back to Washington, and have been unsatisfied with the costs. At the previous Banfield i went to they wouldnt double the cost of a simple health certificate by adding the office visit fee. when i expressed this to the one on aurora they offered me to come in during the walk in vaccine clinic to not be charged the additional fees. This kept me going to a familiar company in a new city. My next visit was for weeping of my dogs eye. I spent about $200 on tests to insure that the eye was not scratched and then given (prescription) drops and told it could be an ongoing thing that some dogs deal with. when i came back for more drops after it started acting up again a month or two later. The doctor insisted on checking him with the same expensive tests to confirm there wasnt a scratch again. I argued this with the doctor and ended up leaving with out the medication. I must say that eventually my girlfriend took him in and they did not insist on the tests and gave her the prescription. This last time my dog had a puncture on his side that wasnt healing, and the Vet said it needed to be cut in to and cleaned and irrigated. That sounded reasonable to me, but then a different employee brought in a bill for me to sign that would amount to $769. Eventually after the billing person cant answer hardly any of my questions the vet comes back visibly agitated. when i stated my caution on making an $800 decision immediately, She implys that i have had plenty of time to think about it since i admittedly waited for the wound to naturally heal. When i assumed my dog would be o.k. if i took time to think about it because he had shown no signs of pain or change in behavior. the veterinarians response was "WHATEVER MAKES YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT". I was so lost in concern and emotion that they insisted if i dont opt for the full treatment immediately that i at least start him on antibiotics, but the veterinarians opinion was that it wouldnt be effective without cleaning the wound. in the end i left paying over $200, and in the Vets opinion still needing to come back and spend $769. After leaving the situation and having time to process everything, I felt the Veterinarians advice to clean out the wound was appropriate but the pressure, and cost was outrageous. I ended up taking him to a vet up north i had taken my older dog too before i lived in the city, and the cost to sedate him and surgically go in and clean and remove some wheat grass that was lodged in plus give him a de-fur treatment was $280 and a two free checkup visits(which is a lot more desirable than the office fees Banfield charges for follow up care.

How on earth does this location have such high reviews!!??? The workers here are incompetent idiots. I went to return something, and the cashier demanded I provided her with MY REWARDS NUMBER... My partner made the purchase and I was returning it for them, so I didnt know the rewards number - but even so its NOT IN ANYWAY the customers responsibility to know their rewards number for a return. The receipt showed we received a rewards discount, but didnt show the rewards number - Petsmart incompetency, but she still demanded the number. She even told me to CALL MY PARTNER to ask for the rewards number....I should have b**** slapped her right there. Eventually after requesting and being shot down 5 times, she hit the "skip" button......... Then, because it was purchased in the next county over with a higher tax rate, their system frauded me out of my full tax refund. I demanded to speak with the manager, and her first solution was for her to void out the return and have me go up to the original store to do the return all over again. Another idiot in deserve of a b**** slap. When I knocked some common fn sense into her, she finally agreed to refund me my $0.05 ..... Stay away from this severely incompetent Petsmart location, seriously, put these idiots out of a job.

I was totally hesitant about taking my dog to a groomer. I looked around for the best grooming reviews in the area, and found that small grooming locations are generally the most popular. I needed my dog cleaned the same day and all of the small places were fully booked. Finally, I just went ahead and called Petsmart and got my dog in within an hour of calling. I was still concerned about leaving my dog, but I figured it was fine since the dog, already being groomed, was completely relaxed with his groomer. I picked my dog up 2 hours later, and he was still just as happy as could be, extremely fluffy and dry (which is quite a task since my dog has a heavy undercoat), and even his nails were clipped. To top it all off, it was only $23 for my super hairy, medium sized dog! Im definitely making this place my dogs new grooming place. I believe our groomers name was Krista, but Im not completely sure - either way, I got a very animal-friendly, nice vibe from all of the employees.

I am blown away by their kindness. I just moved to this area and the Petsmart where I am from opens at 8am. I got to the store at 8:00am and discovered that they dont open until 9:00. I was sitting outside waiting and started to speak with one of the Petsmart employees who was waiting to go into work. When it was time for him to go into the store, he said "Let me check with my Manager to see if we can get you in now". Less than 30 seconds later, he popped his head out the front door and told me to come on in (this was about 8:15am, 45 minutes before the store was to open). Thank you Patrick and Jackie for going over and above the call of duty and caring about your customers. Patrick cashiered my items and he was delightful and friendly. I look forward to coming back to the store many times to come. You have made one of my first store experiences here in Seattle wonderful. THANK YOU

Just like other reviews, I dont understand how this store has such high ratings. Customer service sucks, with the exception of their very approachable and professional store manager. Their supposed "fish expert" talks about aggressive fish and what cant go with them when she openly admit that she only knows about schooling fish and non-aggressive. If only I can give this a negative star, I would. So disappointed... I dont know why I even gave this store a try...

I made an appointment and came in to get my dog groomed. I walked in and the first girl looked up my appointment, said nothing and walked away. A second girl came up and said "Your groomer didnt come in today, so we need to reschedule you". That would have been great to know before I drove all the way over. No missed calls, no voicemails telling me they had to cancel, nothing. They didnt even apologize. Terrible customer service.
