Ariel is so kind. She went beyond all my expectations as a first time customer. I had just adopted my dog Bodhi from Texas. I didnt want to wash and clip his nails on his first day and, have him immediately hate me as his new owner. I stopped by just before closing and informed Ariel of my situation, not only did she wash and clip my dogs nails for me, she did it after she was supposed to be closed. She took her time and did an excellent job! On top of everything else she gave me a new pet parent discount! I will be a loyal customer for as long as I own animals. Their prices are very competitive, even with internet pricing, (Ive been to the Mudbay nearby and Mudbays food ((orijen)) is more expensive.) I will be picking up everything I need for my dog here. Its a local business thats got a lot of heart.

There are two groomers, one is just fine but the other is incompetent. The bad groomer will complain about mats after she has ruined your dog. She shaved my standard poodles ears and it will take a year or more for it to grow out - meanwhile they look terrible. She shaved off the tail pom pom because she likes a shaved tail. My dog looked so bad and then she asked for more money because of the mats she had cut off. My dog is groomed frequently. In 30 some years of going to dog groomers I have never had such a negative experience followed by the very nasty attitude of the groomer. I will never go back.

Ive had some bad experiences at grooming salons - Petsmart cut my dogs ears badly and Pretty Paws would take so many dogs in one day that once they took 6 hours to complete his cut. Horizon was a welcome find; theyre wonderful with the dogs, dont take too many at once, and my dog is happy when I pick him up. Id become accustomed to him being a sad dog after grooming appointments, but hes perfectly happy after an appointment at Horizon.

Weve had a good experience throughout the last year. Only had one haircut that did not meet our expectation. However, Its hair and it grows back... not to mention that our dog may have had something to do with the haircut, she isnt very cooperative. Our dog was left with a pom on the tail, it was easily fixed at home.

What a disaster! We got the wrong groomer and she was shaved, big chunks out of the ears and ruined her pretty tail. So disappointing after a good year. Time to find someone new.
