Thats it; Im done with Discount! Ive been a customer for nearly a decade, both in Seattle and Spokane. I am tired of waiting, absolutely every time I visit, about 2 hours on average to have winter/summer tires swapped (twice per year per vehicle). I had a great idea that Id do the dead today, Wednesday, middle of the week and go in the middle of the day, when they are least busy. To ensure success, I even booked an appointment via their handy website! I show up early and check in. Im told the procedure will take about an hour, possibly more. Well gee. Whats the point of having an appointment then? Anyway, I sit down and wait. Knowing this would be the case, I brought some work with my to occupy my time. 90 minutes later, I go back up to the same assistant manager that checked me in, asking how its coming. The manager blanks; my car was never entered into the queue to be serviced. Im told only 15 more minutes. 45 minutes later, I get my keys back and am on my way. What I thought was going to be a breeze turned into a decent chunk of my day. This isnt the first time Ive had a similar experience; in fact nearly every time is similar: 2+ hours of waiting, even with appointment. I always play it off thinking that theyre just having a busy day. No more. Im done. Theyve lost my business and have wasted my time. Ill be looking for a smaller outfit that appreciates their customers time more than Discount.

I dont like these guys. Ive gone here twice, and both times it was more trouble than it should have been. The first time, I had them swap in my winter tires. I asked them to lock the keys in the car as I would be back at 10PM that night to pick it up. They kept the keys, I kept the remote unlock. It was just before Christmas, and they were closed the next day. When I went to pick up the car, the keys were nowhere to be found. Luckily, I got a hold of a friend who gave me a ride home to grab my spares. The second time I was there, last spring, I was getting the winter tires off and all-seasons on. I figured Id just get my winters put on rims so I could do the swap myself and never be locked out again. I got my car back with no problems, with the bagged tires in the back. I noticed that they had put locking lugs on the new tires, and had given me a box with my old lugs and a couple spares. Today is the night before Thanksgiving, and Discount Tire is closed, tomorrow. Once again, they managed to screw me over. When they gave me back the old lugs, they kept the key for the new locking ones for themselves, so I cant change the tires. I was going to head up to Canada and head through the pass, but these all-seasons arent going to cut it. I guess Ill just stay home. Thanks Discount Tire.

Called store on Tuesday. Requested specific tire and was told tire is in stock, costs $105/tire (plus tax, disposal, and install). Was told that tire has a $100 rebate due to Memorial Day weekend. Wrote this all down and took it to the store. Arrived at store for appointment on Friday. Desk clerk opened file and called up a different tire to the one I priced earlier. When I objected, he said the original tire I requested was out of stock and unavailable until next week. New tire is $119/tire. On top of that, the clerk said that the original tire only came with a rebate of $75 (not $100 as told over the phone). Ended up with new tire and $100 rebate. Happy with tire and amount of time it took to install. Not happy with (a) having to pay difference between tires ($68 plus tax); (b) lack of consistency between phone clerk and desk clerk information regarding the rebate; (c) unavailability of tire that was priced over the phone.

HORRIBLE TO UNREAL- We had four tires installed on a company vehicle in early December of 2016. We were given an estimate of a three hour turnaround and after 6 hours an a number of inquiries as to the status, we received our vehicle minus a broken interior door handle. Discount Tire did not call us to report the incident and after I spoke with the manager, Chris (full of excuses), the new door handle was ordered. It is January 11th, 2017 and we have yet to receive the correct door handle. Discount Tire has ordered the wrong part so many times that they are now replacing the entire door panel! The tires we had installed were compd, but in the end is no compensation for the time lost waiting on the phone and the excuses they make insulting our intelligence. Horrible and unreal! Please do not waste your time and money with this company.

Im giving 5 stars because the manager is really great, I think he is the manager. My Lexus dealership wanted to charge me $799 to change 3 tire pressure sensors...discount tire charged $60 each WITH labor and computer programming. I got the pressure light checked prior and he was just really helpful. Being a young car owner, I didnt feel taken advantage of. The rest of the staff is friendly. It was taking more than the allotted time estimate and the manager personally stepped in to make sure it was going as fast as possible as I had to rush to class right after. He assured me he would get it done as fast as possible. My only complaint is that the guy who answered when I called, John, was a bit snappy at my at 9 am lol. But other than that great place!! Highly recommend.

Overall a good experience. They have always helped repair tire punctures that I have had quickly. Once they even took my car in after they were technically closed to repair a puncture. I like that they do not charge for this and other similar small services (I assume that this is Discount Tire policy in general?). They also have been willing to price match for me before, without making it difficult. That being said, a puncture repair that they did recently blew out and damaged the tire past repairability. They were willing to replace the tire at no cost to me without too much hassle, but then gave me two different times for when the tire would be ready depending on who I talked to. Overall, a good place ... not perfect ... but solid in my experience.

Im not sure if they have flexibility on pricing/rebates and I got two different salesmen or if they made a mistake and wouldnt own up to it. I went in to replace a set of manufacturer defect tires on Saturday. They had two in stock and installed those and told me to come back on Monday for the other two. I was shown a quote on the screen of my expected cost, but when I came in Monday that cost increased by more than $100. Everything looked the same except for the price. It seems my tires became more expensive and the tread on the old tires had worn down in the 2 days or 5 miles since they were checked on Saturday. I increased to two stars because they were friendly.

We got a nail in our tire. Took it to Discount Tire to get it fixed because we bought our tires from them. They said it was irreparable. They replaced that tire and we had to buy 3 more tires even though the tires had 30,000 more miles of tread on them. I talked to a couple people about the experience and multiple people who had had similar flat tire experiences told us that Les Schwab would have fixed the tire instead of lying and telling us we had to buy new tires. Go to Les Schwab or a more honest tire company if you have a flat!!! Dont let Discount Tire take advantage of you like they did us.
