Whenever visiting the sporting goods counter, a rather tall and over weight man seems to act as if he knows everything, anything, and is always better than the person he is talking with. This is mostly from observations at customer disgust and upset attitude after visiting with him. Walking around them after their encounter I could hear items such as "What a jerk!", "He must think hes better than everyone...", "Why would he not care or recommend I go somewhere else?" I visit this store about 4-5 times per week and used to get most of my automotive and sporting good items there about 3 years ago, however, due to this issue and this person I do not venture past the food area of the store. Today I did just that in an attempt to obtain a bit of Gun Grease, I encountered this man and asked him where an item was located, he responded with a question to me, "You know thats the same as automotive grease right?" Well yes I do, what I was looking for was a small tiny bit of grease to place in a portable kit I have and was out of my small tube of Gun Grease. He then randomly motioned towards the automotive center and went on talking with someone else. Of course there was still no name tag which is most likely the issue with why this man still works there. Either way until he is gone this 2 star rating will stand as I can not access a good half of the store without encountering this man. Otherwise the rest of the employees and store is wonderful and clean. Best advice, the left hand side of the store as you are facing it is awesome! The firearm or sporting counter, just avoid it...

Finally, a Fred Meyer (FM) that is as good as theyre supposed to be. When I first moved out to the Pacific Northwest (PNW) my first time in one of these grocery stores reminded me of my first time entering Disneyland, I was blown away by what a supermarket could be. Ive never been in a supermarket where I had such a vast and diverse variety of healthy food options, where there was a restaurant location, a Starbucks available, and best of all, people were actually dressed in real clothes and acting like decent human beings (Walmart, take note). In the last few months I have had a string of bad luck with these places. Theyre either filthy, not well stocked, or the employees are super introverted and not very helpful. This FM however is VERY GOOD. I ended up stopping at this particular FM due to becoming lost in the neighborhood and having a desperate need to find a bathroom. And I felt like I could probably use a coffee and a pumpkin scone as well...why not, its only Fall once every four seasons? In the past, I used to be able to get these necessities at any FM, but recently I have found myself wanting to go into these locations less and less due to the dirtiness and the overall lack of attractive appearance of the place. I was very relieved when I walked into this particular FM, it was immaculate. Thankyou to the staff and managers of this place. Please, please, please keep up the good work. I want to continue going to these places, the alternative is really ugly and uninviting (*shudder* Walmart take note).

The woman I dealt with today was rude and overcharged us. I like this Fred Meyer over all and have found the people who work at the deli to be really nice and helpful. Today, though, I did have an experience that will keep me from ever going to that deli again. My girlfriend gave our orders to a woman who asked her if she needed help and then went to get a coffee at the Starbucks while I waited there. The woman first came up to tell me that I had not put any meat option. I am used to people being surprised when I am a vegetarian; but this lady just didnt get it. She then asked me repeatedly if I was sure I wanted a half sandwich rather than a full sandwich. She made the point that a hoggie cut in half is small so I asked her to just do my girlfriends as a half and mine. I had to repeat myself several times for her to get the point that I did not want to have a full sandwich. I expected it to also take forever for her to make our cold sandwiches because I have had a few from here and they have always taken a while; but the wait was also longer than I have ever had. All of this I would have been fine with. Until we got rang up for two full sandwiches and told that we would have to wait in the thanksgiving weekend lines to get a refund because that isnt something they do at the deli register. I dont know if these people are told to upgrade peoples sandwiches; but this woman lost a customer to make sure I walked out of their paying for two full sandwiches that I didnt want.

The ladies at the customer service desk are beyond amazing. We had a really bad customer service experience in the Deli department (we were ordering sandwiches and the young lady making them was apparently new, and she had an attitude issue. Everything was a big deal to her, like when she needed to restock on bread, meat and cheese. It took her 25+ minutes to make ONE sandwich, and then when my husband asked her for a second sandwich she gave us an attitude right to our face. And then when we finally check out, a whole 30 minutes later, they gave us a bag of expired chips) We went to the customer service desk and they gladly gave us back our money, plus a gift card for having to deal with that type of service. They were very apologetic and told us that people like this young woman were never held on too long.

After shopping the Bremerton Freddies for 2 years, I have certain expectations, and was sad and surprised to find that the Port Orchard store basically feels like a completely different store. Horrible layout with narrow aisles and poorly stocked departments, particularly in the grocery. I am upset that the more convenient store is so much worse that the Bremerton location. Key items I have always picked up from Freddies are not on the shelves at the Port Orchard store. Also, the gasoline pumps and parking lot have the poorest layout of any gas station I have ever used. I finally gave up, disobeyed the one-way markings, and pulled around the wrong way. Utterly ridiculous layout. I am so upset that this location is now the most convenient as far as distance goes.

Shout out to the young man Matt who brought me water to the Pharmacy, because I felt like I was going to faint. Not sure if he is a manager or just a worker. Also, to the most amazing people who work at the Pharmacy in Fred Meyer. I make it after they had been closed for 15 mins but I just got out of the hospital and the lady (I always forget her name, but she knows me) who talked to the pharmacist to fill my prescriptions (I needed the nausea one asap) Ive never been treated that kindly. So if you need prescriptions filled I HIGHLY suggest Fred Meyer. If youre on here, I cried all the way home for doing what you did for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
