I had a tattoo done at Project a few years ago. After paying my deposit (very reasonable pricing) and describing the work I wanted done, I was told I would receive a call over the next few days with a time and date of availability. (I was back on the west side on break from college on the east side of the state so I needed the work to be done during the week I specified I would be in town.) I waited until the last day I was told I would receive a call, but I did not receive one. Having to leave the next day I called and explained what had happened, I received a sincere apology from the intern they had at the time and we agreed to schedule an appointment for the next time I would be back in town. A little frustrating, but not a deal breaker. Now on to the actual tattoo work: This was my first tattoo experience and I have no complaints about the work which was done. I had two 45 adapters with writing done on my shoulders, and with the level of detail being minimal I agreed to let the intern do the work. Throughout the 3.5 hours I was being tattooed (lots of shading...) and the additional 2.5 hours of touch-ups several weeks later (mostly re-shading) my tattoo artist explained each step he was taking, continually checked to see that I was feeling alright, and chatted it up about different bands we enjoyed listening to, to pass the time. The tattoos turned out just as I had hoped. Unfortunately I did not interact with the other tattoo artists all that much so I cannot review them. I am sure that if you go to this studio, and accept the fact that they are the experts, that you will be more than happy with the results!

I was actually headed to another shop in the U Village, but I got this striking feeling that I should stop in and see what Project was all about. I walked in and was greeted right away; super kind and helpful from the get go. I have never had a tattoo before, so my nerves were shaky. Aaron Egging genuinely listened to what I wanted and offered an expert opinion and I felt calm right away in his hands. He drew up a pair of shears that I wanted on my hand and within 20 minutes we were ready to go. Super gentle, steady, and confident; he worked on my small piece. It was as painless as ever and I could never have been more happy with an artist. I really felt like I got "The Experience" and I am most positive that if you stop on in here, you will get the same treatment as I. MUST GO SEE THIS AWESOME TEAM! P.S. Super clean, prices are right on, and has a great ambiance.

Aaron Egging is my artist and has done all of my tattoos (4) He does incredible work. His style is fantastic. He has taken my ideas and made them into art i couldnt have even thought of! he has a great talent! At this point i feel like i could just give him real estate on my skin and let him do his thing and i know it would come out great! thats how much trust i have in him as an artist. If i could put images here i would. He is also a blast to chat with. As are the rest of the staff. Spending 4 or 5 hours in the chair is super fun at this studio. all the artist are engaging and get stoked for all the tattoos they do! Stop by this studio, if only to look at the incredible art they do. (no really they also paint and have seriously great work all over the walls of the studio) you wont be disappointed.

Walked in today just to chop it up. The owner Dustin was in and said he could knock out a tattoo for me on the spot. I was shocked. Usually you gotta wait forever, but it was his day off and he felt like he wanted to tattoo. I was under tight time restraints, but he knocked out a beautiful, fist-sized traditional rose on my wrist. Bad ass. best art I have, and I have a bit. Super happy with the experience and still cant believe how quick it went down. These guys are cool, laid-back dudes. Shop is super tidy and neat. Awesome art work to keep your mind busy. Look no further.

This sounds odd enough I am sure but this has to be the classiest tattoo parlor I have been to. The staff and owners are great. I have been getting almost all of my tattoos done by one of their artists for over 5 years and never been disappointed.
