I walked in this place for my appointment, and knew it wasnt the place. Bad location, no place to park you have to go far away. The lady I had the appointment with was unprofessional. She looked at my tattoo right infront of the front desk and other people in waiting area, and a little embarassed because I expected her to take me to her booth privately, and not for everyone to see or hear about my scar that need covered. Just an advise, you guys need to keep in mind that other people like privacy, and I was shocked of the unprofessionalism the way they handle each appointment. Each person should be taken to the booth privately and eventhough people can still hear at least not infront of other people to see. Then she said she doesn"t do black and grey, she only does colors. Im glad she doesnt do the black and grey because I wasnt coming back anyway. I would not recommend this place, and I found a great place in troutdale.

Would not go back or recommend at all! I did not have any reply to emails between scheduling and the actual appointment. I showed up and was given a doodle compared to what I wanted and when I requested changes I was made to feel bad about wanting changes. After the changes I was more ok with the design but during the tattoo I feel like we miscommunicated and she did these big lines all over my tattoo that I did not ask for. I am now having to waste my time with healing until I can get it removed. It is not worth having something you dont like on your body forever. Regret this place so much. My friend even saw I went here and said she had a similar experience and it has scared her to find someone else for fear it will happen again.

I have had a number of tattoos done over the last two decades, from a number of tattoo artists, and I visited New Rose Tattoo for my last two pieces. Im not really one to write reviews, but this place is rave worthy. Professional, clean, chill vibe to the business and outrageously talented artists who support each other and their art. This particular nod is to Erica Kraner, who literally hours ago just finished a huge thigh piece I had been scheming up for years and after 4+ months has been completed. Her line work is on point, colors vibrant, and original vision brilliant - all demonstrated and showcased in her Instagram feed. I will definitely be visiting New Rose for my next ink adventure - Thanks Folks!

There are some very talented tattoo artist here. But after two months of working with one of the artist I asked a question about pricing and let them know that I had friends in the industry and outside of it question the price, even having a friend say they would not use them just on price alone and they took it as me questioning their business practices. When all I was asking was if they had any other pricing options. Needless to say, after that reaction it was not worth working with them, they felt the same way. For a new shop you would think they would want new customers and work with them through questions and concerns instead of freaking out! Talented Artists, Over-Sensitive people!

My very first artist for my very first tattoo works here and he does an amazing job. He has a great range in styles and works of art that you could see two tattoos and wonder if thats really the same guy. He takes time to fully understand what you want to give you the best tattoo he can give. Youll never find a happier, more cheerful, more excited tattoo artist than Xavier Daring. The store itself has a wonderful, more earthy feel. The shop feels like its there because it can be and it wants to be. It has such a cozy feeling with super nice people that it brings you back over and over again. I highly recommend New Rose Tattoo.

I would highly recommend New Rose to anyone. Mark Ledford did mine and did I wonderful job. This was my first tattoo, I was scared, and the staff helped keep me calm and told me what to expect and what to do after the tattoo was done. My tattoo is circular sheet music, the music is Dont stop Believe by Journey, with a puppy pawprint in the middle. Everyone here was super friendly and helpful. I would gladly recommend anyone to go here.

I got my first tattoo by Carrie Smith at New Rose Tattoo a few days ago, and I couldnt be happier with it! I have wanted this tattoo for quite some time, a script that says "Let all you do be done in love" on my forearm, and Im so in love with it. Carrie was so kind, helpful and very talented at her art, and the whole experience was lovely. I definitely will come back for my second tattoo, and I highly recommend Carrie!

I met with Leslie back in May and gave her a general idea of what I wanted, then let her come up with the design. She came up with a geometric tiger with teals, blues, purples and green. It took about 7 hours over 3 sessions and was on my ribs. She did a wonderful job and wen above and beyond my expectations. Everyone there is super nice and helpful, Im already planning my next tattoo! I definitely recommend this shop!

I got a tattoo done here by Mark Ledford, and I am thrilled with the results. I gave him my basic ideas, but he designed a custom piece that is gorgeous, and the coloring is excellent as well. Mark is also easy to get along with and puts people at ease. I will be coming back when I am ready for my next piece, for sure. Additionally, this shop plays GOOD music and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting.

I have been going to traci for all of my tattoos. everyone at this shop is great! they are all kind and actually listen to what you want. so many shops you go into its awkward and the people are mean looking. here everyone is friendly. i will never go anywhere else. my sister is flying here from california cuz she got tatted by traci and now she wants more and she doesnt trust anyone except traci.

I am 51 - fat, old lady. I got my first (and only?) tattoo in May at New Rose by Mikal. She and I collaborated on the design. She was very motherly in style, how nice!, and patient while I decided on precise placement and then she gave me a wonderful tattoo. It is now 2 months ago: I am all healed up and cant be more pleased with my sharp and bright tat. Fun experience.

Xavier Darling is an excellent artist, and person. I know I will be a repeat offender here. All the staff and artists were welcoming, easy to talk to and the shop is conformable and interesting! After my first session was over I received clear instruction of after care, as well as a healing balm and he was very accommodating for scheduling my next visit

Amazing! Between my ex and I, we have been tattooed by Traci, Mikal, and Aaron. I trust all three completely, everyone is super friendly and incredibly talented. The shop is comfortable and clean, and easy to find. Im looking forward to getting my next tattoos here, even though I live in NE Washington. Well worth the commute!
