This past Memorial Day weekend, during one of their craziest sales, I received the absolute best service from this Value Village. Scratch that, it was more than service, it was a gift. I was in a bind trying to find a decent couch for my dad, who is blind, on a budget, and not too healthy. I also had an all day excursion planned for the next day, no truck, had to coordinate with a friend, etc. When I asked for a manager, and asked if I could buy a couch *and* have it held until Sunday morning (which I knew was not store policy), the onsite manager agreed. I know what some people might say-she just wanted to make a sale, but the point is I am sure she could have sold the couch I selected about forty times over this weekend. She helped me, and I needed the help. When my friend and I arrived to pick the couch up Sunday morning, I parked my truck behind hers to help load (and because I had the rope, ratchet straps, tow strap and bungee cords), but what ended up happening was we needed to remove the entire base of the couch, and it was a recliner. So basically we were out there with end wrenches, for an hour, plugging up their load and unload zone like jerks. Despite this, the guys out back were very gracious and helpful, and still attentive to everyone who rolled up to make a delivery. Finally, I took my dads linens home to wash, and discovered he needed sheets. I went back to value Village at five to 8. The store was closing. I was tired and disappointed. The onsite Manager was locking up, (a different one from Friday) but told me I could come back tomorrow, all about the awesome sales, etc. When I said I needed to get the linens tonight (last night, after resigning myself to going to Fred Meyer and paying way too much for sheets that have the stiffness of cardboard and the texture of sandpaper) for my dad, she immediately opened the door and said," Well, we cant let dad go without sheets" and cheerfully gave me directions on where to find them. I zipped right in, found what I needed, and my Dad Missions were complete. That was the conclusion to my absolutely fantastic Value Village story. I got so much help and understanding from them- when I most needed it- this weekend that it damn near broke my heart. That was a wonderful weekend of community at Value Village.

The store manager and cashier gave a very disappointing experience to me who is a frequent shopper there. One check-out lane was handled by the cashier with a few shoppers in line. Another lane opened up by the manager and I step in to pay, but was told that is for return only. With that I went to the other lane. A shopper went to the manager for checkout and then another shopper line up. With that I asked the cashier why is the manager serving other shoppers and not me earlier. The cashier just pointed to the sign and said read that. Somehow the cashier wants to test reading skill and not assist to explain why the manager is taking other shoppers checkout. I then asked if this is the store policy of choosing customer. If that is the case I wont shop here for practicing a bias policy of rich and poor or white and black. The cashier turned and told the manager that he doesnt want to serve me. And the manger agreed to that. I have been prejudiced. What kind of business practice is this? It is true than that the company has the policy of serving the rich/well dress customer first. Service based on racial bias. If this is not the case, please have the morning manager and cashier apologize to all the customers in writing on the store entrance.

This store has gone down so badly. Management is usually no where to be found other than checking to make sure prices are high enough before the items come out of the back room or sitting back in their office hanging out. Cashiers are the rudest and most incompetent people. Lines are always 10 deep without providing adequate coverage at all times. Items are kept behind the counter and nearly impossible to view. Clothing items hanging side-by-side unable to see anything unless you ask for assistance (hard-to-find). You need to ask to see all the clothing items hanging back there to decide if you want to buy something, but then asking to see all the clothes brands you as a pain in their butt. The fakes will always be behind the counter and the authentic items on the floor, because no one seems to know what theyre doing. (good for the savvy customer!) Time for some intervention at this store.

My fiance and I love this Value Village! The employees here are so nice and very helpful. They have many brand name clothing there and a good selection on items. Considering that Kirkland is a prominent place, theres lots of treasures here for a decent price. A Chanel purse is $30 and can run for so much more than that, fake or not! Their isles are spacious as well, no more getting run over by carts and they keep things fairly organized and easy to find. Unfortunately, were going to be moving down south so we cant shop here as often as we would like anymore... But nothing is going to stop us from coming back!

Clean store, pretty good selection. I will usually find something good everyone I shop here. But you have to search for it like other value villages, which is really half the fun!

Not the best selection and quality, but fun to shop. If you want better quality of clothes, go to Redmond Value Village or Kirkland Goodwill.

Its a thrift store so you have to look deep to find the hidden gems. Lots of stuff and reasonably easy to find things.

The prices are cheap on things gently used at the fraction of the original cost. I recommend to thrifty starters.
