Usually I adore this Jo Ann Fabrics but this Sunday (5/14) I was given extraordinarily shoddy service. I am an educator and was told I could not combine my coupon and my valid teacher card issued by Jo Ann Fabrics on Sunday (this was close to closing ). The employee, a 50 or 60 year old female with dark blonde shoulder length hair, said that Jo Ann Fabrics no longer allowed coupons and teacher cards together on the same sale. However, both discounts were applied only a few weeks back at the same location and the store at Tukwila. She was quite rude and short with me about state.wnt as well. It appears to me that this store location needs to work on their customer service if they intend to keep up their sales. Very disappointed in this location as of today.

I went here a while back and most of the items had sale signs. I picked out a few items and brought it up to the cashier, there was a lot by line due to register issues which I dont mind. Once up at front the cashier rung my items up and nothing was marked down. I told her tat there was a sign for it and she was very short with me and said I read ALL the signs wrong. I was frustrated, I know how to read and its definitely not my first time at Joannes. She insisted I was wrong and whats worse is she was the manager! No one was sent to look to see if the signs were right or misplaced. I ended leaving and going to the south center location where my items were indeed on sale. She wasted my time and gas.

I used to work there and it has always been a bit of a hit and miss as the staff has high turn over rate. The corporate people are douche bags that make life hell for managers and in turn the staff get crapped on and treat costumers the same. Total domino effect. It is the anchor store for the strip mall but unfortunately is not a big store nor taken care of enough to the point I would go there often. My favorite Joanns is in South Center Tukwila it is huge and well kept with understanding/knowledgeable staff. If you need something quick Kent Joanns is fine for common crafting items but take the 20-30 min trip to South Center for the best.

Standard chain store. In my youth, I actually used to work for this chain, so Im quite familiar with store operations and several store formats. This location in particular just recently underwent a remodel and it looks great! Ive come here a few times, and the staff is nice, but not the most knowledgeable, but hey, most of them are making minimum wage! Also, this location is a bit on the smaller side comma so sometimes I do have to make a trip to the larger Jo-Anns in order to get what I need

Ive always loved Joanns and have been a loyal shopper for years. This is an older location and while they dont have everything that the bigger stores do its a cute, fun store to visit & with the help of the staff, you can make anything with what they do carry! They recently had a change in management and the new manager is amazing and seems to be inspiring her whole team! -if youve shopped there in the past and been dissatisfied try them again! - the store is reenergized ! -

A good sewing and crafts store, with the emphasis on sewing. I always find the basics I need here, from bobbins and needles to ribbons and storage boxes. Keep an eye out for good sales and coupons. They dont have a super-wide selection of other crafting supplies, such as glitter or art paper, but the friendly, professional staff can direct you where to find what you need.

Very helpful staff, knowledgeable and helpful if you cant find what youre looking for. Also . . . Jan is the best! She is very friendly and helpful, and I appreciate her asking how my projects are going. Im sure she sees many customers, and the fact she not only remembers my projects, but takes time to ask about them, is really kind.

Love my Jo-Anns. I shop at all of them in my area. Be sure to load their app to get the latest coupons or order online and pick up in the store. Saves lots of time if what you want is specific. I like to go and mosey around for inspiration.

Waited in line for over 15 mins and didnt move. Nobody came to help so I left. This happens often and there is never anyone out in the floor to help with questions. I would suggest using a different store.
